you have storage of food like 60 blocks away from where they cook and eat so its over twice too far away which is why no one eats cause its too far the freezer should be next to kitchen and eating room and tables should be right next to both kitchen and food storage instead of food storage being on the other side of the entire compound from where its cooked and eaten do you have your fridge in the basement in the very last room but your kitchen where you cook is upstairs across the entire house from the stairs to basement then only eat at the table on the 2nd floor again located as far from the stairs as possible so any time you want to eat you must walk to basement and across the length of the house grab what you want to cook then walk upstairs across the house and cook and make trips back to fridge to get something forgotten to then once done walk back across the house upstairs across the house to the table to eat cause thats what you are making your colonists do to eat which is why they dont eat
@JustWrightGaming4 күн бұрын
Please use at least a single comma next time, that was very hard to follow, thanks for the input though In later episodes (yet to release) this gets mostly rectified, but I'm also somewhat vindicated because even with the table next to the freezer and a prep room 5 meters away, there are still numerous occasions where they simply will not eat Distance is certainly one of, perhaps even the largest reason, but it doesn't seem to be the only reason

@RACOON-e3l you click on it and theres an "add bill" with multiple options
@JustWrightGaming6 күн бұрын
You have to select them and add "bills" that tell them exactly what you want them to make, you can customise what they're allowed to use for each bill and can have multiple bills with set amounts, or repeating bills Note that I'm pretty sure if you have a forever bill at the top, it will do that first and always try to complete it, but since it's forever, it can't be fulfilled, which means anything below that will never be completed, often having "do X amount" can be helpful if you want varied things (or a second bench) so that it can fulfil one and move to the next I'm also not very good at the game though, so I may be completely misremembering that, lol

For your grow zone issue I get this a lot. It truly is just to much is happening and the AI aren't getting enough time to do it. When a new day starts the pawns don't immediately go and do what they weren't able to do during the last day and instead will start over their chores. I reckon just set growing to a 1 priority and then you can watch and see if they are bugged or just were being lazy. another thing is try remaking the grow zones or manually right clicking with a pawn selected and forcing them to do each thing. Also to stop random fires starting use hidden conduits because they can't get effected by the Zzzzt event.
@JustWrightGaming6 күн бұрын
I think it may have just been bugged because as you'll see in later episodes when they release, I seem to remember this stopped being a problem I have been told I should do that, however I think most of our problems with that had been due to roofs not being built correctly, lol Since THE INCIDENT, we haven't had too many issues with those events, still useful info though for sure
@cocker37136 күн бұрын
Your base is so beautiful, looking at your playtrough i feel like playing on higher difficulties is a mistake, because it makes you play the way you can beat the game, not the way you enjoy it the most. By the way, build hidden counduits instead of normal ones, to avoid "Zzzt..." events, they are very dangerous in a wooden base, and yes, it would be a good idea to research "firefoam" technology and put some poppers around to avoid getting a huge fire.

I believe I know why Claire’s roof collapsed. The columns on the right are outside the shadowed “roof” area. Not all mountain is considered roofed. The outer few tiles aren’t and your columns were both just outside it by the looks of it.

Glad to see the series continuing! If you’re open to installing mods, I recommend the Run and Gun mod. It allows you to shoot while moving at the cost of accuracy. It makes combat more flexible and realistic, as you no longer have to be stationary for multiple seconds to fire. Also super helpful for kiting enemies and picking them off one by one! *There’s also a mod to add sidearms. With this, I can give every colonist a gun as well as melee weapon, so they switch to the melee weapon when cornered and can defend themselves better.

I'm planning on finishing this run and starting another one afterward at the very least, it performs well and I'm enjoying the game, so definitely going to continue for a while That actually sounds really good, it's one of the things I complain about regularly, the very glue like nature of the combat and how as soon as they're too close you're just dead, this actually sounds like a really good way to make it less tedious, I'll definitely look into it
@YippeePlopFork15 күн бұрын
I completely feel your pain. When I started NMS, I didn't read or watch any tutorials, so I was completely in the dark when it came to making my first base. I terraformed all the ground around my base and made the base semi-underground.....I came back to it after a couple of days only to find that the ground had all "grown back", completely submerging my base. Then I had the bright idea of running power cables long distance to mining equipment....that didn't end well either. Some very costly mistakes for me to learn from lol
@JustWrightGaming15 күн бұрын
Haha yeah, there are a few very specific ways that NMS behaves that aren't necessarily intuitive and until you've experienced them, you have no idea they'll happen that way Personally I don't like having to do research before playing a game, I think the game should be good enough to teach me on the go, and often there's a certain amount of entertainment value in the struggle That attitude does end up getting me in a bit of trouble sometimes, but I don't regret it, haha
