The Kop is by far the most iconic stand in football. Look how many stands around the world are named after it. PSG, Lille, Leeds, Forest, Wrexham, Shef U, Birmingham and many many many more.

An interesting ‘fact’ is that the pitch was sunken and with poor drainage. They used to purposely flood the pitch to make sure it was muddy, as the manager built teams around grit, not speed. The muddier the better; sometimes the pitch markings were chewed away.
