I wouldn’t want that box mounted there because it would block too much area of rear view. Not to mention the corny dryer vent hose being used. The least you could’ve done would be to use rubber hosing.

Looks promising but how much suction did you have? I would guess if you had a lot of cfm going through your system it would work great! But how does it work in real world scenarios when engine demand is constantly varying, especially for the non racers?

The KWT uses the induction of the engine to pull the airflow through the particle separator and removes up to 98% off all dust and dirt before reaching the stock air filter. To me that dryer hose going up the back looks like crap and not very well thought out. For $500 there should be a molded plastic duct to take the place of the dryer hose.

I know there's a lot of clutch noise coming from that factory intake which is a big complaint of people with an X3. I'm assuming you can block off the factory airbox entrance behind the seat now? Does the particle filter knock down the clutch noise some and I'm assuming you could flip it around to direct even more of the noise backwards? If this does knock down the noise it might be a good selling point on these machines as well. Looks like a great product either way! If you want to send me one I'd be happy to decibel test it and post a review for you guys;)

i want to buy this particle separator for my x3 but my question is: i live in a hot weather during the summer and on winter is around 32f so i use a windshield but my IAT are alite high because of that, can i hook up this particle separator in a way that i get ram air from the side? and lower those IAT's? , right now it sucks air from the back of my head but there's not enough airflow even with the vents all the way open to help that air intake. if it helps my IAT's are on summer hitting 190f to 205f and on winter around 135f to 149f ( those are not engine temps i check engine temps with the oem dashboard ) i check IAT's with a dynojet

Hi Sir, We do not use RAM air. Our system works by sucking the air in using the engines induction. We have MANY customers that mount their unit sideways, or backwards facing away from the windshield for this very reason. Thankfully our unit has many mounting options. So having a windshield is perfectly fine without. There is zero horsepower loss as well, and the dyno numbers have proven this. I don't know if installing a pressure indicator is typical for utv off road racing but it's so smart! I want to do this on my own SxS so I don't have to remove my storage box mounted in the bed to check the air filter.

I was curious as to any restriction in the air flow. If the unit uses the induction of the engine, you are using the induction of the engine to pull air through the particle separator and stock filter. Seems like a lot of work from the engine.
