Awesome video and great job. Question, when painting an image on a rc body, since its painted from the inside and lets say you have a 3 part stencil, do you have to start with the 3rd part of the stencil then the 2nd part and the 1st part last so when you look at the rc body, the image is correct?

Each of these subs has been described as being equal to a 15 inch sub. And yes if you couple them you will gain +6db. I have ran a dual 15 sub setup for years at the weddings and birthdays that I do and it gives me a nice sound. Also that is about all that I am willing to carry to gigs since I often gig solo. I just can't imagine carrying big 18 inch subs up an stairs which I do run into. I have heard these Bose Sub 2's and I think that they are worth a listen. They are priced around the same price at the 15 inch subs from EV, JBL, etc. I would say that if you are tired of carrying 18 inch subs you might be able to switch to these. If you are using 12 inch subs, these are a nice step up. One or two would work for a wedding. Four would be for an outdoor event or large hall ...

Unfortunately many think the solution to adding more bass is to turn it Up. Or add external processing. Or get a bigger subs. The truest way to add more bass to ANY system is simply add more Subs (matching). There’s no way around it. It Keeps your fingers off the gain knobs… and no need to eq or boost any frequencies. The added DB is also across the entire sub frequency range, so All those super low frequencies we love like 35-50hz that gets rolled off -3 to -10db get louder by default by +10 or more DB. They become more present, so your entire bass sound is thicker & deeper & louder. Moral of the story… chose a sub that you like the sound of by itself. Then keep buying more of that same sub as you can afford them to get more output. There’s no need to crank up a single sub, if you need to do that…you need another sub💯

I will just say that when i play out with them, I go into the mixer and turn the BD down by 3 sometimes 6DB because it just hits so damn hard i don't think i will ever need it to hit that hard. Dialing it back allows for cleaner sound and the people love the way it sounds. Full and warm, not muddy and or repelling.

I tested the sub 2 in real life and it's a disappointment, the woofer distorts before the red limiter LED flashes. It's just a littlely louder than my JBL PRX one 12" sub. and it has absolutely no chance against my 18" sub. It's not bad but too expensive for that.
@skinjobs12374 ай бұрын
I have had distortion issues as well but when your signal is hot, and if you use them with the HPF on i always turn down the bass in my mixer 3-6DB because that bass response is crazy. I did a party in the park on Sat may 11th with 4 Sub 2's and 2 L1 pro 16's and turned the bass down on everything. Played everything with volume on the subs at unity, and the l1's about 9 o'clock on the vol. but all the other setting on the L1's were dialed down as well. You want clean sound not boom. Everyone could not stop praising the clean sound, the warm base. Was not anywhere near high volume levels all day but you could hear us all over the park for 6 hours. No clipping, no muddy sounds, and no one asked us to turn it up. It sounded like a opera had a baby with the club. We played House music all day. here are a few clips from the party from our facebook friends. facebook.com/brian.talmadge.92/videos/1117789186156099 facebook.com/momotv.henry/videos/840440911331105 facebook.com/DJSupreme73/videos/1186106292525018 facebook.com/chandra.gore.5/videos/961505635288501 also we are using a Bose T4S to manage all the Bose speakers in our rig.

If you have a left and right channel, run 2 subs on left and 2 subs on right. Don't daisy chain them. Use an xlr splitter. Your running your subs mono. The subs sound fine flat on the ground by the way. I think you might be running them improperly. I have tons of videos showing that they sound fantastic laying flat. 😎
@skinjobs12376 ай бұрын
I have seen them all trust me (your vids). lol. glad you chimed in kid. Using the tonematch mixer with all my subs on the right channel in mono they sound better and allow me to push them harder with out messing with my tops. My sound meter shows high numbers this way. And i have other videos of me laying them flat vs standing, just going to leave it to personal pref. What i hear and feel coming from them they sound better standing side by side, and the numbers don't lie. You get more DB with coupled, not in stereo, and in pairs of 2. The great thing about Bose they just sound great so the coverage is easier to manage. And as a DJ they really don't have a lot of set up advice just users and reviews. So i treat them like any other speaker and look to engineers who do sound for a living. They all say placement is key, wiring, coupling, and eq'ing. I will stick with that, and look forward to your next video. Thanks!
@DJBpartyTV6 ай бұрын
Maybe it's me but I don't run anything mono. If you run your whole system mono and then you run your system stereo you can hear certain artifacts of the song including the bass that will sound a little narrow vs wider. I use to be a sound tech for festivals and outdoor concerts. In my 20 years of DJing. I've never seen anybody run their setup in mono. Now if it's just the subwoofers that might be okay but if you're running the whole system like this, I know you're losing a lot of spatial sound in your audio. I look up at hooking a DJ equipment like you would just surround sound system at home. Would you run all of your speakers off of the left channel? Also if you want more sound out of your subwoofers and you do want to run them mono maybe you should get an XLR splitter that's male to female. This way you can plug in to both your left and right output at the same time and out to one XLR into your sub. That way your sub gets both the left and right audio. Or you could easily achieve this by running both left and right to the sub and then Daisy chain your subs as such but you'll need way more XLR cable. If you're running all your subs mono, do you use the XLR outputs on the subs at all? Hopefully you're not running subs off one channel and mains off the other. 🤔😎 What's your method?
@patrickbernard54586 ай бұрын
@@DJBpartyTV Hi there! FOH engineer here ;) Running subs in stereo is pointless, subs are omni directional and cannot produce a stereo image on any useable scale even on our D&B SL -Sub array as the listening position will never be the same for everyone so its just wasting a ton off energy for maybe a small handful of people getting sub stereo in the entire festival. So that's not quite accurate information you are passing on here! So comparing anything home audio to this is pointless. Changes and differences in setup all depends on the room and position you are setting up in. Sometimes ill run a stereo setup, other times the room is just not correct and reflections will cause comb filtering in a stereo setup so you are better off just running a single column of speakers in mono. Running the 2 sets of subs on channel 1 and 2 and the rest of the system on 3 and 4, as long as the tops run a stereo signal its all good!
@DJBpartyTV6 ай бұрын
Does the same rules apply to column array systems? (Evolve 50, JBL PRX, Bose Pro16s) Do the rules change with powered versus passive? Do the rules change with DJ setups versus live event setups? Do the rules change with mixers that have one volume fader versus mixers with left and right volume faders? Do you still run mono subs if they are placed on the left and right of stage with speakers pole mounted to the top? If so how would you run audio in these types of scenarios. I don't want to sound like I know everything and I'm always interested in learning. 😎
@skinjobs12376 ай бұрын
I feel you sir. I have seen many set ups. And some run subs mono and others don't. This has always been the debate right? I guess it will always come down to your needs at the time you are playing, and if you are just Dj'ing or having a live event with mics and different players. We are in the same boat, not knowing everything. But we agree on 1 thing and that would be that these Bose speakers are the truth. After 12-15 years of use I love them. @@DJBpartyTV

Hello I have a question what kind of lexan if that?
@Acoustic_Theory6 ай бұрын
What you called 'doubling' in this video is actually known as 'mutual coupling'. When you have subwoofers separated apart by more than 1/4 wavelength, their output becomes uncorrelated, so each doubling of subwoofers only provides 3dB extra output, but when they are closer than 1/4 wavelength their output becomes correlated, so they are working together the most efficiently, and each doubling of subwoofers then gains you 6dB extra output.
@Acoustic_Theory6 ай бұрын
There is still sometimes a reason to place subwoofers separated on either side of the stage; this tends to concentrate low frequency output in the area between the left subwoofer and the right subwoofer, which is helpful if you have neighbors to one side that shouldn't be disturbed. Also if your 'left' and 'right' main speakers are separated very far apart, and both are far away from the subwoofers, then the subwoofer sound can begin to seem separated from the output of the main speakers - both in time and in sound quality. Lastly, if your stage isn't elevated, then a cluster of subwoofers in front of the stage may not be tolerable.
@robbiedownes10555 ай бұрын
You can move them apart by up to 50cm (20cm gap between each) and they will still couple up to their highest frequency (around 200Hz). This also has the advantage of slightly reducing the output to the sides, if you need to avoid cancellation nodes from side walls.
