Ways to kill the choppers: - Call CAS and hope they have rockets, as they will target helicopters as priority - Use sabot with the lead system (requires smooth tracking of the target's center, check the gunnery guides and/or T-80 training mission) - Use the Kobra ATGMs your tank carries (ammo choice #4)

1:40 read the gunnery guide or do the T-64A training mission to get the right range line up the bottom half with the top half of the image also below 1000 meters the rangefinder will not work

nice also i would recommend you stay off downward slops as much as you can since all the soviet tanks in-game heavily relay on the angling of there upper front plate to be affective also it leave's you're roof armor of the hull and turret heavily exposed i hope this help's :)

Definitely a tough mission, and you're meant to solve it with positioning as you did. Nice work. Also, the very small map squares are just 100 meters, but the larger/thicker ones are 1 km.

nice :) also i would recommend you read the gunnery guides since they provide a lot of good info also since pact has a lot of variety in terms of how the fire control systems work for diffrent vehicle's example on one end of the spectrum you have the T-55A and T-62 wacth have no FCS and ww2 style gun sights while on the other end you the T-64B and T-80B wacth have the 1A33 fire control system comparable to the Abrams and have the 1G42 gun sight wacth is two axis stabilized unlike the M1's primary gunner's sight i hope this helps :)

Yeah those tanks you found were dead from the bomb strikes. Normally they would arrive as reinforcements.

That makes sense I remember watching the bombs drop over there but I have no idea how effective they actually are. I have found that I have a difficult time trying to figure out a kill vs a none kill outside of movement or fire. If hatches were popped I would be able to tell or perhaps damage from the bomb blasts themselves. Or just a burnt out texture.

One thing I like to do to make optical rangefinder tanks easier is to look at the map pings when the enemies are spotted. The grid squares are 1 km, so it's often possible to get a rough estimate of how far away they are just by eyeballing it. You can also do this ahead of time in some missions, looking at the likely locations for contact and pre-ranging your gun for the distance.
