Hello i bought my 2012 mazda 3 hatchback with 115k miles i drive 420 miles a week for work mainly highway and i wanted to ask how often am i supposed to do a tire rotation and oil change on my car im just so used to my old car giving me a oil life percentage like itll go from 100% to 0 thats when its due this doesnt due that it goes milage and set of days or numbers. It didnt come with the owners manuel and i googled it every different forum tells me change it every 5k miles or 7500 miles and now your over saying 3k miles im just lost and when i bought i checked maintenance section and it said remaining miles and days is : ----- left so idk

Well it all depends on your driving conditions. If I was you, I would change it every 5000 miles. But only because you drive a lot. On older cars, 3000 miles is better because the engines wear a lot sooner than newer engines. Thats why when you reset it the oil life, it allows you to change it to your specific needs. If you changed your driving habits to around 100 miles a week, then I would change it every 3000 miles because with time, oil gets dirty and contaminated. Even when your not driving it a lot, the engine gets moisture and contaminates the oil. I think 7500 is excessive on your car. Hope this helps!

@apprenticeraul8321 I also got new tires on it coopers endeavor all season highway terrain tires I assume 5k miles is best right

@@josevalenzuela5011 Yea, might aswell. Just everytime you get your oil changed, do the rotation too.

Isnt the cooling fan also supposed to be on at the same time as the condensor fan? Cause for some people if cooling fan doesn't come on then the pcm disengages the compressor clutch so it will not engage the compressor clutch to save the car from overheating from the load put on the car from the compressor clutch
@mechanicRaul
@mechanicRaul 15 күн бұрын
Yes it is suppose to be on, the reason it wasnt on is because when I switched the relays, the bad relay was on the radiator fan circuit. The reason it didnt shut down the compressor, I believe, is because the engine wasnt hot enough yet, or, the PCM isnt programmed to do that. It is an 2009 and every manufacturer does things differently.

@@TruePatriot59 Yeah not gonna lie, ive never programmed keys, but doing it this way is the "official" way to get into all their functions and to use AutoAuth. From what I read, for some people this way works for them depending on the scan tool also. And for others using the 2011a cable works for them, but you need a different software to make it work. I guess whatever works best for you, I hope I was of help! 👍

well when you check it you want the car to be level, so if u lift it, a lift would be best. or the front can be lifted by the subframe, and the rear by the differential. But good luck with that, it a long truck, but its totally doable.

Depending on the model year, the "Oil control System" and "Oil And Filter" options will appear together, or only one will show up. Either way, reseting them is all the same.

The oil level should be in the B area for the Transits. The letter A applies for other trucks with the same Transmission.
@mrmikesparks
@mrmikesparks Ай бұрын
I thought Mercedes was ridiculous by not providing a dip stick for the transmission, so you had to buy it as an aftermarket part. But, come on FORD..... Really? You have to get up underneath the van with it running and work next to the hot exhaust pipe where you will almost certainly get burned. This is beyond ridiculous!

Buena Suerte!

Wow this is a rare circumstance. I have the '18 Pacifica so I'm assuming Identical to this., I'm replacing the oil cooler next month and while I'm down there going to do the spark plugs.. Dealer wants $40 a piece for Mopar so that's a big "NO" lol,, then doing research the OEM is a Champion Iridum 9417 does that sound right??. The Autolites must have been waaay off to throw codes and misfire like that, I was even entertaining Autolites im glad I saw this .👍👍

@@mechanicRaul Yeah I hear the Pacifica 3rd Generation '17 and up is a different electrical system and it needs iridium and a very specific plug or things cam malfunction so I'm doing all my homework now before I change them on my '18. Dealer wants $40 a piece for thier Mopar plug I hung up the phone laughing so hard birds flew away 😂

As much work as it takes to have to remove the intake manifold, it's best to use quality spark plugs use OE Champions or even NGK's don't put Autolites just because they are cheap.... You want to have to remove a plastic intake manifold as few times as possible for problems that are easily preventable, because you are going to have to remove it again to replace the oil filter housing or at least the gaskets on that motor.......
