Hi, my db instance is in status Inaccessible-encryption-credentials , but there is snapshot available for backup , I tried backup but it is showing access denied due to IAM(I think) as I dont created any I am Role, default amazon have it for my instance. what to do.

Hi, Welcome to my channel, Thanks 🙏. This Inaccessible-encryption-credentials status usually means the AWS KMS key used for encrypting the DB instance is not accessible. This could be due to some reasons such as the KMS key being deleted, or the necessary permissions to use the KMS key being revoked. Follow the below steps to resolve this issue. 1=> Check the KMS key from AWS console if the key used for encrypting the DB instance is still available. If not then restore it. 2=>Make Sure IAM used for your RDS has the necessary permission. Permission are "kms:Encrypt, kms:Decrypt, kms:ReEncrypt*, kms:GenerateDataKey*, and kms:DescribeKey." once above are correct now you can restore db instance from snapshot. Hope this will help you.

Hi, Welcome to my channel, Thanks 🙏. IAM Roles for AWS EC2 Instance:- You can attach an IAM role to your EC2 instance which grants permissions to make AWS service requests. That means you can attach a role with CodeCommit permissions to an AWS EC2 instance, & applications running on the EC2 instance can then access CodeCommit repositories. Hope this will clear your doubts.

Yes we can, AWS ECS sends metrics such as memory utilization, CPU utilization, and network traffic to CloudWatch. Steps for this: ->In the CloudWatch console, choose 'Alarms', and 'Create alarm'. ->Select metric and choose 'ECS'. You can then navigate through the ECS metrics to find the one you want to base your alarm on & then select the metric. ->Define the conditions for your alarm. Select 'Create Alarm'. -> Open the CloudWatch console in your AWS Management Console & from the navigation pane, choose 'Metrics'. -> Under 'ECS', choose either your 'ClusterName' or 'ServiceName & click on the checkbox for each metric that you want to see. Hope this will clear your doubts. Let me know if you need any sessions.

Hi @adilbhati5244 , Welcome to the CloudTech family, Thanks 🙏 => Make sure that the security group associated with your EC2 instance allows inbound traffic on port 8080 =>If there's a firewall running on your EC2 instance (like iptables or firewalld on Linux) => Make sure you're using the correct public IP address or DNS name of your EC2 instance => Verify your Tomcat server's configuration to ensure it's set up to listen on port 8080 and that it's not bound to localhost. =>cross check you're using the correct public IP address or DNS name of your EC2 instance. Hope this will help

Find below your question answer. =>If you export a snapshot from AWS RDS to S3, it exports in Apache Parquet format, an efficient open columnar storage format for analytics. =>At this moment, AWS does not support exporting AWS RDS snapshots directly to EFS. But if you want then, you can export RDS snapshots to AWS S3, and then copy the data from S3 to AWS EFS. eg. aws s3 cp s3://your-bucket/rds-export-snapshot/ /mnt/efs/

Hi, Welcome to the CloudTech family. Yes, we can do it by boto3 SDK. Solution-1 AWS Lambda function that's triggered by a CloudWatch Events -> boto3 SDK(create_snapshot,create_volume,replace root volume) - > minimal downtime need Solution- 2 AWS Lambda function that's triggered by a CloudWatch Events rule to run every day for (Create an AMI of your instance - > create_image(boto3 method) Launch a new instance from the AMI (run_instances) Switch traffic to the new instance (if ur are using LB then you can switch traffic to a new instance or for Route53 update DNS) Terminate the old instance - (terminate_instances) hope it will give you clarity. let me know if you need any sessions for this.

@@CloudAWS Hi, At the RDS console you can see a bottom "Restore from S3" but when you try restore the prompt show this message "isn't possible extract object encrypt from s3 bucket and documentation too. So I don't understand for what exist the button "Restore from S3"

Hi, You cannot restore a previous default subnet that you deleted. But if you delete that default VPC & restore it again then all settings will back automatically.

I got a problem when tried to restore snapshot on another instance. Since I got a super fancy instance and the disk space is too much for me, so I decided to migrate the data to another instance which has a lower disk space. But it seems AWS doesn't allow to restore the snapshot on an instance that has lower disk space than the original one. Anyone know how to fix this?

Never tried this but if AWS is not allowing you then two things coming in my mind. - > Either create an instance from a snapshot and then migrate data using AWS DMS into a small-size instance. -> If the Active instance is up & running & you have data including backed up data then try to migrate to small size instance using aws DMS.
