To me on the day she finally left Oscar; She gave Ernie and Mr Hyunh a hug goodbye and told Arnold “If you ever need shelter in the future please don’t be afraid to ask” and hugged Arnold. She didn’t even look at Oskar. Afterward Oskar then had to move into the dump room that Rhonda and her family stayed in in “Rhonda goes broke” cause that was all he could afford.

How are you not getting more love for some seriously good commentary? Other channels just plaster their face and make expressions as the scene plays behind em. Must be fuckin nice.

Well she does leave him. They made another Hey Arnold movie back in 2017 that had a 2 year time skip. Between those 2 years, Susie divorced Oskar and left the boarding house

Hey Arnold! Was my favorite show as a kid because he was raised by his grandparents and so was I. How he ended up with them is a lot more heartfelt then my story but it was nice to see it portrayed as normal.

At least she eventually left. She is confirmed gone in the jungle movie.

Well, I can honestly say one thing on the Oscar and Susie situation. At least Oscar wasn't physically abusive or a cheating person, because that's normally how the relationships are when a woman who is basically doing everything. Not saying that absolves him of everything has done, but he has done things to show he wasn't a bad person and was trying. Like the time he ran through traffic to get his nephew "Baby Oscar" to the hospital or the time he picked up a cat during the reading episode. Though I can also say Suzie, being the saint she is, deserved better and this is even more relevant when you realize how many "Suzies" there are in the world that are involved with an "Oscar".

Season 1 already covered first chapters for book 3. You have all 3 book characters in season 1. Episode 8 is literally beginning chapters of book 2.

I HATE characters who lean too heavily on the iDoNtHaVeAdAdSoIcAnBeShItTyToEvErYoNe card Its like, okay. You can be sad you sont have a dad. But like. Dads arent the only ones who bring up a kid. Emma acting like this is basically stating that single mothers cant raise good kids, and we KNOW this is not the case. Also her constant slut shaming and then hypocrisy about it is so low. As well as criticizing Manny for those picture. Like, she made a dumb decision, this happens SO OFTEN in high school its so sad. Do NOT trust anyone with private pictures! Spot on analysis!

This is so true, Ben and Leslie's relationship was so special and sweet and something you hardly see on sitcoms. Everyone hows crazy for April and Andy, and dont get me wrong, theyre great...but Ben and Leslie's wedding made me cry. Just the way he looks at her when she walks in the room gets me every time. The sort of mix of, "its okay, were gonna do this together" encouragement like and "my god i love you so much" perfect.

I only just found you at random in my recommends and i loved your take on oskar kokoshka and lila from hey arnold so i went to check your other stuff out and was suprised by how small your channel is. I wish they had brought this up a few more times after that episode. Like, after her introduction they keep pushing the ms perfect thing, like yeah they dont pick on her directly anymore, but they also dont bring up her home life again or even show her dad again iirc. I love the first episode shes in, but i felt she and her situation wrre grossly underutilized after the fact.

Your take is 100% accurate and hes written that way on purpose, like you said yo teach a lesson. Dont marry an Oskar, and dont be and Oskar.

I’m surprised how much this cartoon character is getting all the attention recently because this type of person in reality wouldn’t last long in today’s society. 😂 He’s the type of guy that no dude ever wants to be and no girl wants to be with, yeah we have our lazy days but it’s not all the time.
