I do not tolerate the Meds - apixaban, beta blockers- is there natural meds without side effects to treat aFib? My heart sinus is normal at the moment after a cardioversion.

I had an ablation 2 years ago and following that I did continue to have occasional palpitations but didn't go into AFib. At this time my cardiologist recommended that I stopped taking the medication that helped regulate the rhythm of my heart called flecainide. I resisted this recommendation but he asked me to try and wean myself off from it. I continued to do my own research and learned that magnesium and potassium aid in the function of nerves so I started taking a low dose magnesium L-Threonate supplement and palpitations stopped. I then decreased the fleconide by 50% and everything was going along fine for about a year and a half when I accidentally triggered AFib (a few days ago) and while waiting for my doctor's to coordinate a cardioversion I started to consider what I learned from my research as well as looking into finding other ways to convert myself out of afib. I started taking my full dose of flecanide again (100mg twice daily). Then I went and purchased an over the counter potassium supplement (100mg tablets) and took one before going to bed. Woke up eight hours later and had converted out of afib. I feel there needs to be an emphasis on learning how magnesium, potassium and other vitamins and minerals like calcium and salt affect heart rate and rhythm. Much of the AFib issues could be an imbalance of vitamins and minerals. I see very little discussion about this point yet afib is becoming more prevalent all the time.

I never had the pleasure to meet you in person, yet I consider you one of my heroes. This video is so sincere, which was abundantly apparent in your patient care. In 2018, you were the only provider to listen to my dad and use the imperative critical thinking, logic, and prioritization to find his pancreatic cancer, when other providers hadn't thought to investigate. I will be forever grateful, and am convinced that your values, compassion, and willingness to truly listen and advocate for your patients were the reason I was able to have some extra precious time with my dad. Anyone who's watched a loved one battle PDAC knows the importance of every millisecond of their presence. As soon as he met you, he called me and told me about his VIP treatment, and he was extremely proud - dare I say bragging - to tell me that the chief was on the case. I've wanted to express this gratitude for years. You are truly a rare gem in medicine, and especially in gastroenterology, where I've realized the biliary tract often doesn't get the attention it should until far too late. 2024 involved an EPI diagnosis for myself, and for my fiance, an emergency gallbladder removal with 4 stones obstructing the bile duct. The doctors of tomorrow need professors like you! If it weren't for my dad's journey, I might not have been such a stubborn and determined advocate to find the answers to my own concerns last year. From the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤ Sincerely, Michelle -- Ed Bernstein's daughter 🥰

I just spoke with Dr. Fink by phone, January 9th, 2025, to consult on a case. Still with it, and publishing, at age 101 - turning 102 in seven days. He is the father of modern ECT treatment.

There's more evidence to support that he IS Santa than evidence supporting that he ISN'T. He is kinda magic. He likes flying.

I have Afib for which I take a daily edoxoban blood thinner tablet, however it was discovered by accident ten years ago when I moved to a new district and medical centre. My pulse (which has never changed in that ten years and I have no idea how long I had it before we moved) at rest only varies between 70 and 65 ppmin max i am now 93 ,very fit and still driving. The only reason I take the tablets is to ward off the possibiliyi of a stroke. I am more concerned these days about how I go ,not when and a stroke is not my first choice.
