This was super helpful ! Malibu is hard to get, would you recommend K18 peptide prep clarifier ?
@RingletReina2 күн бұрын
Hey! Are you in the US? Malibu is available online and on Amazon. I wouldn’t recommend K18 to anyone who has virgin, non damaged hair because you’ll be adding bond building treatments to your hair that aren’t necessary. Jessicurl also has a clarifying shampoo that I have personally used and would recommend to all hair types.

Why are THINGS referred to as "she" & "her" ??? Ugh.
@RingletReina26 күн бұрын
Well, for me, I just want more feminine energy in my life 😌 but here’s an answer from Google. Thanks for watching! Objects, particularly things like ships, cars, and countries, are often referred to as "she" due to a cultural tradition that associates these entities with a nurturing, protective female figure, similar to a mother, often stemming from the idea of a vessel carrying and safeguarding those within it; this practice is also influenced by languages where many inanimate objects are grammatically feminine. Key points about this practice: Historical context: In maritime culture, sailors would often name their ships after female loved ones, viewing the ship as a companion that protected them at sea. Linguistic influence: Many languages naturally assign genders to nouns, and in some cases, the words for certain objects like "ship" are grammatically feminine. Symbolic association: The "motherly" aspect is often cited, with the idea of a ship providing shelter and guidance to its crew mirroring a mother's role.
@lauraoglesby795026 күн бұрын
The english language is gender neutral....there aren't masculine or feminine assignment to objects. As feedback, it just comes across as uneducated.
@RingletReina25 күн бұрын
@@lauraoglesby7950 Aw Laura, I'm sorry you have to spend your limited, precious time on this hunk of rock barreling through the galaxy calling people uneducated for a totally made up language made up of several other ancient languages. I hope you have a better year than the way you come off online. Thanks for watching! And stay tuned to see if I start giving more hair products genders!

Genuine question.. how to I make sure my curls stay hydrated? I bathe every 4 days.I'm aware that I'm a bit heavy-handed on.Gel, because I like my curls to last but on day 2.They always seem dry.. For reference, I use the aunt Becky's leaving conditiocarol's daughter.Black vanilla shampoo and conditioner and the not your mother's cream and gel ans I use about a quarter size amount woth a spritz of water.. any tips will be very helpful
@RingletReina3 ай бұрын
Hey curly! I'd love to help! Hydration comes from water and that means we need to make sure your hair is getting properly cleansed in the cleanse and condition. I usually ask my clients several questions when they're having issues with long lasting hold. Q: Do you get a bubble bath lather when you shampoo? Does your hair look greasy or wet even though it's freshly washed and dry? Are you styling on soaking wet hair? This can help me better figure out what you may need without actually being able to see your hair.

May I ask how much total the Aveda cost you? While you were there were there any guys taking the course?
@RingletReina3 ай бұрын
Hi, yes! Aveda cost me about $20k and was one of the more expensive cosmetology school options I looked at. Looking back on the opportunities I’ve had and after speaking with other stylists from other schools I’m very happy with my decision. I highly recommend doing your research and really asking yourself what your overall career goals are and how each school can help you achieve that. While I was in school we had several young men! They were def outnumbered but their talents were very apparent! I still keep in touch with a couple of classmates and we swap tips and tricks. I wouldn’t let gender get in your way for cosmetology. There are plenty of men in this industry that go on to do hair, makeup, special fx, wigs, etc. there’s plenty of work to go around!

How do you get your hair to last for 7 days? I work out every morning and I hate the sweaty hair
@RingletReina3 ай бұрын
Ah, that’s way harder to achieve when working out. What I recommend is diffusing your scalp on low heat/low speed post workout and then applying a dry shampoo right before bed. You should wake up feeling fresher in the morning.

@RingletReina10 ай бұрын
Damn, I don’t know your story of how you got to cosmetology or what your goal is but if you’re already in school and have paid for it or have taken out loans then finish it babe. Get the license and THEN figure out if you want to continue with the career path you set out on. I know this path is so hard on the body and definitely can be on the mind but I think you’d feel good about finishing what you started. I wanted to quit so many times and now I have such strong friendships with my classmates, former educators and now clients. You’ve got this!!

I feel like I’ve been so gaslit after going to a “curly specialist” (with straight hair) who cut my WET hair and then STRAIGHTENED it to cut more with a RAZOR !!! All my family said I shouldn’t worry because the straight hair looked good, but I hated it. Your video makes me feel so validated thank you for making videos for the curly peeps!! 🤍
@RingletReina11 ай бұрын
Catherine I’m so sorry to hear you had a bad experience 😢 there are definitely talented curl specialists out there that don’t have curls themselves but yeah straightening prior to a “curly cut” is not the answer. Unfortunately with razor texturing it can take a while to cut off the ends that have a shattered hair cuticle and make you feel like the curls are back to their regular bounce.
