love their music but the guitar tone here is a bit annoying tbh

'shoegaze'?? my feckin olde half deaf ass- these guys invented their own pre-genre of gloriousnoise- and they're still unequaled- do ya research- shoegaze is their bastard offsprungz .........disclaimer- I love shoegaze- RIDE is *almost* as important to me as these fuzz curmudgeons. ;)

Saw them play a small club when this album came out and it was mind blowing. Even then i felt lucky and that there was no way they should be playing small clubs. The songs and playing were just so far beyond any of the other bands. They sounded like a world class band as opposed to the other bands that play small clubs in their city or hop in a van and do a month or a couple week tour. Im not saying that is bad. Normally thats where you find the best bands

Sounds like from an independent movie score like from Kelly Reichardt's melancholic bleak films portraying the South

I saw them in 2018, but it was all acoustic. 😢 It was good, but i was expecting their usual loud electric show like this. Still hoping to catch them again electric, as God intended. 😂

My close friend died recently. One of the last things he ever told me was that he finally picked up a Toe album after I’d been recommending them for years, and he loved it. Thank you guys for bringing him joy at the end.

They are quality band and great musicians but goddammit concerts can be exhausting and boring at times. And if the acoustics and sound are not good it will suck. I was listening to them 15 years ago and was a fan but their music seem to be outdated nowadays. They are just missing something that would make them stand out, soemthing that will relate to todays world, some f up electronics, some crazy vocals smt... I guess I'm not as patient as before for this type of stuff
@ultrasignificantfootnote33782 ай бұрын
I can relate, but we have to listen to the story that the music is telling us, while at the same time we know it's just an illusion.
