I have 2 legitimate questions… most people seem to hate reacta gloss but how many games does it take to get rid of the over under it causes that people talk about without resurfacing the ball? And also why don’t you guys put your polish on a storm ball to show us that your product is actually better?

Turbo tabs wear out too quickly. Had to change out my thumb 4 or 5 times when I used Turbo. Vise works well but too many operators don't install them properly or take shortcuts. JoPo seems like the best of all worlds. Easy to install and superior threaded locking mechanism. No movement or wiggle so far. Locks in super tight.. almost too hard to lock and some might need to use the tool every time to get it to lock and unlock.

@Creating The Difference PAP Left 5 & Up 1 3/8 Layout 30 x 4 1/4 x 35° Thumb-in Lefty Low rev Throw 15-20 mph (at pins) My PSO drilled a Theorem for me today. I accidentally learned that all of my balls, drilled at 30 x 4 1/4 x 35° are actually not hooking unless I force myself to throw around 10 mph. That's not easy. Any tips to get my Theorem, Perfect Mindset, and Infinity to hook at faster speeds? They all go straight at my normal speeds.

It’s hard to know if the camera angles are giving the same perspective but it looks to me as if all the right handed shots are at least half a board if not a full board lighter than the left-handed ones. That in itself lessen the chances of carrying the corners

I'd also add don't use turbo solids,they are absolute garbage and set my game back for years after plastic wasn't a thing anymore,VISE clear slugs are a far better product as they aren't abrasive as your thumb comes out,also i use JOPO now

I tried them all, both Vise and Turbo broke on me several times. I went with JoPo and they are more robust and have never broken. The only negative is I have to use the tool to remove and replace the insert as the snap is very difficult to use thumb only.

Recently switched to JoPo from Turbo. JoPo seems a lot more sturdy but there are still tabs at the bottom. I assume at some point they will wear down. Another down side is there a many shops around me that don’t install them yet. My Turbo thumbs have lost that nice sounding click when I screw it in. It’s very subtle now after 2 months. I change the thumb to different balls roughly 3-4x a week.

I have JoPo and really like them. I have three inserts for now. I keep one in my spare ball at all times so there's never a need for quick switching. The other two I use for strike balls and they're slightly different sizes in case my thumb swells too much. Works great for me.

I use both Turbo and Jopo, the tabs on the Turbo break more often and tend to have a loose feeling, the Jopo is more solid and the tool makes changing between balls quick. I also double up on the thumb tape (on hand not ball) if the hole is too loose.

I have to use the tool to take my jopo thumb in and out. Does anyone else have that issue? The company said it’s supposed to be like that but I see people on KZbin twisting it on easily without a tool
@LorenzoClark-vb9rd
@LorenzoClark-vb9rd 5 күн бұрын
Once you use it a bunch it could loosen up so you can twist and untwist without the tool. I have one thumb that needs it, and one that doesn't.

Occasionally I have to use the tool. Mainly before I start bowling and get warmed up, or if I'm a bit dehydrated or if my thumb is very dry. Once I warm up though, I can always just use my thumb.

Yet here we are explaining how to properly resurface a bowling ball.
@diydadsht9785
@diydadsht9785 7 күн бұрын
@@Ctdbowling are you suggesting the manufacturer is incorrect? I've had my bowling balls lives shortened from proshop operators using too rough of a grit to resurface my equipment. Which after the logos and serial numbers are gone - render the ball illegal for USBC competition.
@Ctdbowling
@Ctdbowling 7 күн бұрын
Considering we used to design, test and develop bowling balls, have a patent on a bowling ball restoration product, and have manufacturers that work with us. I'm suggesting that we know exactly what we are talking about. By all means feel free to believe what you wish. We have lots of videos as evidence, and the Engineering background to back up the claims made. We understand that isn't for everyone and respect that opinion. Also you can add a serial number back to the ball so it can be used in competition still. The spec is on ball size and the logo removal doesn't mean the ball is below the minimum diameter allowed.
@diydadsht9785
@diydadsht9785 7 күн бұрын
@@Ctdbowling I understand that manufacturers are not always correct - at this time and with my experience id prefer to follow their guidelines - however, 80 grit to begin a resurfacing seems aggressive. After having my equipment had significant amounts of material shaved off after only 2 resurfaces I'd hope you could understand why someone would question the necessity of using such an aggressive pad when it goes against manufacturers recommendation. Besides removing more material from the ball itself, is there a scientific way to prove that starting with 80 grit is more effective than starting with 360 or 500? I could be wrong but having the correct labeling is for identification purposes, and having a ball relabed I'm sure is possible, but at what cost and convenience? Not every proshop has this ability. I appreciate your feedback.

There's a lot of factors. It's an adjustment. Between leaving the 8, 9, 4, 7 pin too. Angle to the pocket is the most important.

We would have to recommend making sure the pitch is as accurate as possible. Different styles can feel small pitch changes.
