why don't you drill and put a dowel and then stain it? the stain looks like Minwax golden maple.
@VideoJoeKnowsКүн бұрын
Yes I could have done something like that but then I would have had to go to the store & purchase dowel material then get a little can of stain & hope that it matched all for this one little hole that could be filled with a close enough putty stick that I already had so I felt like it would be ok especially for the fact that the hole was towards the bottom of the door & not right at eye level for instance. Thanks for stopping by with your suggestions...much appreciated!

The tile isn't the real issue it's the black adhesive! That is more likely to be friable (to become airborne) especially with any scraping or moving of the tiles. You should definitely be wearing a respiratory filtration device and gloves, a disposable painter's type suit would be good too! Best bet is to encapsulate that flooring or hire professionals to remove.

You might have to lower the door by the bottom screw at the floor prior to removing like I show here. Kind of tricky for sure. I have more bi-fold door videos for more learning. Go to my main KZbin channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to doors & they will be in there. Thanks for stopping by!

I have same problem. The bottom of my door sticks. I can't close my door. Annoying
@VideoJoeKnows11 күн бұрын
The only reason why I shaved off the bottom of the door was because I tried to fix the door sag first then when the door still rubbed I had no other choice to fix it the way I showed. Here's what I suggest for your door....look to see if your door is sagging & my guess is that your door is sagging that then is causing your door to rub at the bottom. I have lots of videos where I show you how to determine if your door is sagging & also how to fix sagging doors. Goto my main KZbin channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to doors & they will all be in there. Let me know how you do & thanks for stopping by!

Haha you're probably right seems as though I more than likely don't live anywhere close to you. But you're in luck anyway as I have over 500 DIY videos on electrical that could & should save you all kinds of money around your house that is if you chose to watch them & put them to good use by saving you money. In fact you should at least look at some of them to see...just go to my main KZbin channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to electrical to find out. Take care....

Why not add shims to lower hinge? Try shims on lower door hinge. No door removal or shaving necessary. WHERE to add the shims makes a huge difference. 1) on the bottom hinge, obviously 2) Door scrapes floor a) ...within first 45 degrees of opening swing i) shim between hinge and door b) ...beyond 45 degrees of opening swing ii) shim between hinge and jamb (framing that hinge is mounted to)
