So its not clear to me, how you filter based on the current record. I've set up a query and it pulls in all of the records. Having looked into it a bit more in the help, it seems to indicate you use the criteria you have to use the dynamic value and put a field value. When a create a variable I get another pops up asking me to put in a value for the variable? In your video, the query just seems to automatically filter.

GREAT video overview of CRM to Zoho Books integration. What is left out is what happens when you have multiple Contacts under an Account when Books adds them as Customers. Does each Contact represent a separate Zoho Books Customer OR do we end up with one Customer with multiple contacts? I do not want to add integration until I know for sure how this specific scenario is addressed. Thank you.

We create invoices that have both billable hours and expeneses listed. Do you have a video that explains how to customize these types of invoices? Specifically, how to add the employee name to the expenses (so you know who created the expense) and how to summarize all the expenses on one line item, per employee, so that the invoice isn't 5 pages long with itemized expenses?

Great video thank you Tyler. Issue we've had is that Zoho support say you cannot get 'this submission came from this page' from forms submissions, which is a problem when you are using a single form across multiple pages i.e. WordPress footer. You cannot add the referral code to the permalink as it would be the same on every page. Zoho say not possible to know which page submitted, which i cant believe. Unless you know better??

Thanks! If it is a global footer, I am afraid they might be right, unless your web developers have a way to alter the form embed code and append the right submission page, but this would require custom code. What we did is since there are only say 10 landing pages where there is a form to be filled out, we use the same form, but adjust the embed to pre-populate the page source. Not a scalable solution though if you have many landing pages.

Hi Koddy, we didn't used the system well at the begining and have done basic book keeping. So inventory was forced in, then accounting would enter supplier invoices without any P.O. or product number. Also, some order had B.O. and instead of using the same order, sales have created some new ones. All this put together, this make our inventory to be all over the place. I can't imagin entering back all p.o., all invoice and all sales order. Yes, we did screw-up bad... Is there a way to force seperatly physical and accounting inventory or I would need to start fresh with a new systrem? Thank you in advance

Hello! Yes, this is definitely possible. You can trigger a script to use that Postal code to query a 3rd party API (we often use a service called SmartyStreets) that can respond with the State/City information for that postal code

We are testing Zoho One. It’s looking like we will need a custom module in CRM to track the computers we repair for each contact. We will have to export existing data from QuickBooks Projects with no more than 20 fields per project/computer with up to dozens of projects/computers in business contacts. Seems like Subforms will be the winner for us. The computer information needs to follow through contacts, invoicing and books (needing only 1 or 2 identifying fields to follow). History of Zoho invoicing details needs to circle back to CRM Contacts. This seems like it would be possible!

Hi AbsoluteComputers. Sounds like a great use-case for Custom Modules! Make sure to add a field to your module for tracking the Device ID or Serial Number so that you can connect future services directly to those Devices.

Hi ButtonEnfuego! We normally use ZPortals for this. You can add a URL field to an Account which is populated with a filtered Analytics Dashboard URL. Then, this link can be added as a webtab within ZPortals

G'day Tyler, Great explanation, thanks. I have used Word document merge for 20 years because of the flexibility, formatting etc - it's endless. So I'm getting started converting some docs to merge from Zoho CRM. The one thing I can't find at the moment is to change the text format to rotate 90 degrees. a double text box on the RHS margin that picks up the ACCOUNT NAME and CLIENT NAME, but i want it to print so it runs doiwn the margin and is the right way up when the document is laid on it's left hand edge [if that makes sense] i.e. I don't want it to write vertically, I want to replicate the 'text direction' command in Word. Hi Rex! In Writer, I'd likely handle this by creating a textbox in the document, and rotating that 90degrees using the little green dot when selecting the textbox. Then, you can drop your merge fields directly into the textbox.

One of the most common things we use custom related lists for is combining related records that have more than one contact field in which the contact may appear. So for example we might have an investment account or an insurance plan (custom modules) and it has two account holder fields - Account Holder 1 and Account Holder 2 (both contact lookup fields) - so we end up with two related lists, but it doesn't really matter on a joint account to us if the contact is account holder one or two we just need to know they are part of the account. So we have to create a custom related list to combine the two automatically created related lists, same with deals where two contacts are linked to it - I think this is probably really common in the B2C space. I know some people would use multi-lookup fields for this instead of individual contact fields, and we tried them when they were first introduced and later when they were improved and they just have too many limitations especially with document creation and 'fields of lookup'. I'm really interested to see if queries will let us create them more quickly...but even more interesting would be if this new 'inbuilt' functionality will result in zPortals being able to see the related lists created using Queries as they can't see the ones we make ourselves.

I really enjoy your videos but I've never used automation and process managent , I tend to use the email notification inside zoho forms that allows me to send auto emails to the client and sales team at the same time when a lead has been submitted by the client. Never thought about using the other so don't really know if there is any benefit of moving the goal post so to speak. cheers

Hi Gijs - the way we'll approach situations where the field you need isn't supported via the native merge fields is to write a workflow/Deluge automation to stamp this value directly into a string field on the record. We'll normally hide this field from non-Admin users such that it is solely populated by the automation.
