Both my hot and cold water are affected. My dishwasher doesn't work, either. I followed your directions and it didn't solve the problem. Do you have any suggestions for me?....please
@FixItDepot2 күн бұрын
With the dishwasher not working too, I am wondering if the supply valve at the wall is plugged or there is something else wrong at that point. That is going to be more involved, and you will have to shutoff the water supply to the house and bleed off the pressure before taking that valve off. Before that being the next step, I am wondering if you are getting any water through that valve? It is hard for me to give more advice without knowing the complete setup.
@tamarahallock2 күн бұрын
@@FixItDepot There is a bit of water coming out. The pressure has gotten lower in the last week and a half, 2 weeks. The supply valves come from under the cabinet, not the wall. I need to find the water supply switch off, and then I think I will take off both of each of those bolts.
@FixItDepot2 күн бұрын
I just noticed that you mentioned it is happening with both the hot and cold side. If that is the case, it would be odd that both valves are plugged or broken. There is probably something else going on. I am not sure what to try next. I am assuming all other faucets are working fine, and there is no freezing issues. At a loss for what to try next.
@tamarahallock2 күн бұрын
@@FixItDepot I didn't think it got that cold outside, so I'm doubting that's it, but maybe. Do you know how I can determine if there is something frozen? I can crawl under the house from inside my kid's closet.
@FixItDepot2 күн бұрын
If you are getting some water flow, it’s probably not frozen either. Especially if temps are not too low. Wish I could help more, but don’t have any other ideas. Good luck with it.

Sorry. Don’t know what you referring to.
@azycray48012 күн бұрын
@@FixItDepot Just joking FID. I'm a retired plumber and whenever someone says hot water heater you might get that question since there is no need to heat hot water. What you installed is a water heater, get it? As for what you pulled from the supply line, it's been many years since I retired but at one time there was a bunch of dip tubes used on water heaters from the factory that deteriorated in hot water and would slough off debris that looked like what you pulled out. But regardless, you started in the right place and if you didn't find the culprit there you just keep moving further until you find it. 👍

Makes complete sense now lol. Thanks for explaining what you saw in the past with the dip tubes. I been wondering how and where this stuff might be coming from. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

I am not 100 % sure, but neon light is a type of ultraviolet light so I think it would work. I would leave it overnight too, since it might need longer to cure.

@dibarra72Ай бұрын
So, I'm just going to recommend to NOT push from the inside at all. I used this on two chips on two different cars. I followed the packaging instructions and recommendations from this and other videos about giving a gently push from inside to help work any air bubbles out and to help the resin to flow inside. I gave barely any pressure (even less on the second windshield) and I ended up with 7-9" cracks on both instead of just a little chip. Now, where the chip was, it looks pretty damn good. Resin filled that in nicely - I just have long cracks now! Do yourself a favor and don't press from the inside!!!!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Thanks for sharing so others will know to be very careful if pushing on the glass. It’s probably better to not even try pushing on it.

Our kitchen faucet goes from flowing great, and then suddenly it just goes to a trickle....and then I can't get it back to the original flow....what is causing that sudden drop in pressure? Is that the shut off valve malfunctioning? Or what?
@FixItDepot2 ай бұрын
I wonder if it is doing this with both the hot and cold or just one of them. If it is happening from just one side, you might have the type of supply lines that have an automatic shutoff if the flow gets too high. They are designed to protect from a line rupture. It could be malfunctioning. If this is not the case then I would suspect trash in the line and would check that out before doing anything else.

Any suggestions on how to do this with a nearly vertical RV windshield that also has a short crack?
@FixItDepot2 ай бұрын
I would not use this kit because it depends on gravity to allow the resin to enter the crack. I don’t think it will work well in your situation. Instead, I would get the Permatex repair kit. It actually uses a plunger to put pressure onto the resin and should have a better chance of getting the resin into the crack. I have a video on that kit also. Good luck with it.
