I suspect you have not even driven one yet yet alone a 720/750 comparative drive (I have). Lots of small changes lead to a noticeable improvement. Most cars evolve iteratively until and unless a substantial change in technology comes about. This can be material, powertrain or electronics. Sign of troubling times .. still not entirely sure how this is concluded from them releasing the last of the ICE cars. We know the next line will be hybrid (learning from the Artura) and the full 720/750 replacement is based on a new architecture. The 750 is most definitely a different drive from the 720 even though the styling cues are subtle. The 720 was lauded as one of the most accomplished supercars of it's time .. and still is. The design was a function of aerodynamics as much as visual pleasure, it would be financially suicide to change radically for a short production run knowing the new car is only a few years away.

Some issues: "little known" driver Denis Hulme was the F1 champion in 1967, and co-dominated Can-Am with fellow Kiwi McLaren. McLaren died while testing the M8D (not "A") aka Batmobile, which ironically was developed to accommodate the FIA ban on "unsafe" high wings .. which the M8B used in dominating the 1969 Can-Am.

Having purchased this car still MECHANICAL glitches no doubt which is disappointing, but don't ever say even the front looks sexy. The whole car is a beautiful car crowds gather everywhere. I go as long as you get it specked correctly.

I just purchased my new 750 S previously I had three other 720 S I did have some mechanical glitches with the electronics. I thought they would solve this damn issue first day with my new car the vehicle lift system not working correctly saying suspension lift degrading on the way up! You just can't make up the British know how to build good engines but they need to get a queue from Germans Italians, how to do electronics . I will have to say though the front end is OK I don't mind it. I still think the car is gorgeous. Having driven the 720 S I have to tell you this is a better car and it is a tad bit better looking than the 720 S if you'd like the look more like a 765 no problem you can put a front splitter on the front, splitter, but it doesn't need it really

1 thing that everyone who tells the story of Holden conveniently leaves out, is the interference by trade unions and their excessive demands upon not only Holden, but Ford, Toyota & Mitsubishi. Also, Holden weren’t doing deals with the Australian Govt, they were pleading for $$$ to keep the business going. The Australian Govt did absolutely no favours for vehicle manufacturers here in Australia, by allowing cheap mass produced shitbox cars like Kia, Hyundai, Daewoo, Seat, Daihatsu to be imported in to the country under the guise of ‘Competition’ which heavy effected sales of established brands like Holden, ford, Toyota, Mazda, Honda.

Technically, the Mustang was never a muscle car. It's a pony car. Neither is the camaro. The last true muscle car was the Dodge Challenger. Now that it's dead, the muscle car genre died with it.

Holden failed Holden Nobody was buying NEW ones(second hand doesn't count)due to the same mentality that the bogans will tell you if its not a V8 rear wheel drive its NOT A HOLDEN. Ignore the market you die.

The worst thing that happened to Alfa Romeo was the Ferrari purchase of hopeless, delinquent brand Maserati. They should have let it die and pushed Alfa as the premium brand to compete with overrated, poorly engineered and unreliable brands like (particularly) BMW, Audi and Mercedes. Maserati was a dead basket-case in the late 90s, Alfa was still quite strong. FIAT backed the wrong horse and we still suffer with the utterly irrelevant Maserati brand…too many brands, too small a market for them. Alfa, a great brand which was the Ferrari before Ferrari, suffers…

I'm wondering how that plastic cladding will look after a few years of the sun beating the sh*t out of it. On my Kia Sorento, the black plastic trim faded over time.

Does the w16 engine in Audi Rosemeyer belong to the VW group or is it an Audi engine?
@Jerseygarage

VE group as a whole, it’s been used in a lot of different cylinder configurations (w8, W12, W16) in a ton of different Bentleys, VWs, Bugattis, etc.

As a side note when Holden shut up shop Ford offered Holden dealer staff the hand of friendship for Holden dealer people to come and work at Ford dealers if they wished to. The rivalry between Holden and Ford fans was intense for many years and the two companies that produced the cars too but with a difference. Whereas Holden fans would openly scorn anything from Ford and vice versa neither Holden Australia of Ford Australia EVER openly criticised each other's vehicles. Unfortunately the ones who really lost out were all the workers who built the cars and over the years were so loyal to their respective brand as their employer. When GM pulled out of Australia it took 150M taxpayers dollars with them back to the US.

Ford US asked Ford Australia "what is the distance between the Geelong plant and the new Broadmedows plant?". Back came the answer "4.5miles". It's actually 45 miles and to this day nobody knows if it was a typo or a well aimed fly poo spot. When the Geelong plant opened Ford Australia asked the Victorian Railways if they could have a spur line off the Melbourne-Geelong railway line into the new plant and if they could how long would it take to build the new line. Victorian Railways answered "Yes you can have a spur line and it will take five years to build". Ford Australia thought stuff that we'll build it and so they did and it was done and in use within three months. In the days of the endurance trial with the XP Falcon Edsell Ford II paid a visit to see for himself the Falcons hooning round the track in the endurance trial and he remarked "You're all mad ya bastards". In the 1970's Ford Australia produced the P6 LTD Silver Monarch which was silver with chrome bumpers, chrome wheel caps, silver vinyl roof, white wall tyres and a plumb coloured vulgarlour interior. People working at Ford said it was hideous and would never sell. One Ford Australia exec said "don't underestimate the bad taste of the buying public" He was right for it sold. Ford people from Victoria went to Mount Panorama to see what cars the die hard Ford fans were driving. They were driving Toyota Rav 4's, Kia's and Hyundai's. Die hard Ford fans in name only. It's people like them that saw the demise of the Falcon for the car industry model is real simple. Build cars and sell cars but if people won't buy the cars we build then there's no point in building them. They could wave their big blue oval flags as often as they wished to but as they weren't prepared to put their money where their mouth was on a new Falcon as a secondhand purchase doesn't count for car manufacturers don't make used cars then they played their part in the kissing of the local produced blue oval goodbye. Marketing of the Falcon was woeful at the end with the new 2.0L four cylinder turbo eco boost finding more Ford employees owning one than the general buying public. One person said that the marketing department at Ford would have been better off marketing washing powders than marketing new cars. But it was all part of the grand plan in winding down local manufacturing. As soon as the closure was announced marketing of all locally produced vehicles ended full stop.

I’ve got a 2022 Base MT and have been driving it for a month or two now. It’s my first ever WRX and honestly I can’t complain, maybe it’s just because I’m rather new to the enthusiast scene, however I cannot find anything wrong that makes me hate the car. It’s perfect to me.
