What happened to the beginning of “Keep on Truckin’”? Sounds like they started it in the middle. Kind of disappointing. Would’ve like to have heard the whole song from beginning to end. Eddie’s classic falsetto was not the same, but I’d still rather see Ruffin and Kendricks than the ‘87 version of the Temptations.

Up the ladder to the roof was their last big Motown Hit!! after that ! they fell off!!
@tedkay37503 күн бұрын
at this point they were struggling to be relevant ~sounding and looking like a off broadway act~~ at this point they should have left Motown~and found another label. these songs were aweful...not THE SUPREMES SOUND AT ALL! Sound like they stole the 5 th dimension up up and away and dionne warwick do you know the way yo Sante fae and mashed them into one! LOL! .. just.aweful!~Bottom line a parody of the Supremes dam shame!~

I always believed that Flip & Mary would have been happy together. She refused his proposal and married a broke abusive con, who's only job thanks to Mary was to manage the Supremes.

Where’s Susaye?
@polodude256 күн бұрын
Susaye has been gone since February of 2024. I think there were creative differences in the group which is why she is no longer with them. Personally the few shows I saw them perform in she wasn’t a fit, not like this line up.

I'm a lifelong Supremes fan, but what are the "6" million sellers that Jean sang on? 1) Up the ladder to the roof 2) Stoned Love 3) Automatically Sunshine? 4) Nathan Jones? 5) Love The One You're With? 6) ?
@EricIversen11 күн бұрын
I'm not positive, but I think they were..... 1. Up The Ladder To The Roof 2. Stoned Love 3. River Deep, Mountain High (With The Four Tops) 4. Nathan Jones 5. Floy Joy 6. Everybody's Got The Right To Love (????? Not too sure of this one) I'm not positive, but this is my guess

An interesting bit of trivia that Scherrie and Lynda met each other (for the first time) before they became members of The Supremes. They both remember their meeting well. Lynda always tells the story of how the Glass House's song "Crumbs off The Table" was a regional hit in Philadelphia, so when she and her sister (Sundray Tucker) were singing back up for Stevie Wonder at The Apollo, and they found that the Glass House were on the show as well, they were super excited to meet The Glass House, and their lead singer, Scherrie Payne. She recalls running up to Scherrie near the dressing rooms to meet her and tell her how much she loved "Crumbs Off The Table."

Jean Terrell's contralto voice is so strong and beautiful and she's so confident that she never had to be referred to as Jean Terrell and the Supremes, Unlike Diana Ross who had to be the sole leader of the group. I never heard Mary or Cindy do a solo part. It was all Diana,

Scherrie and Lynda loyal Supremes till the end. They proved it many times and one being at Mary’s farewell at the Grammy Museum when they weren’t even acknowledged but there they stood and they too me says a lot. Supremes Sisters Till Thee End❤

Spooky, you are 100% correct! Scherrie and Lynda were not invited or acknowledged at Mary Wilson's memorial at The Grammy Museum. We purchased tickets, just like the other attendees. They attended to pay their respects to their "Supreme Sister." They loved Mary and continue to honor her legacy as an original, founding member. Scherrie and Lynda are classy ladies, and I'm proud to call them my friends - Eric Iversen

Dig the move my family. Diana Ross is so big that she does the damn thing circumventing managers, agents & all the "POP & CERCUMSTANCES." Is that not indicative of being a "BAD BITCH"? Sho nuff is!

Steve Binder was the Glenn Weiss or Hamish Hamilton of his day; in addition to this, he also directed the 1964 concert film The T.A.M.I. Show and, of course, the Elvis Presley 1968 comeback special.
