Awesome video Pedro! One question, on that last floor board you put in off camera, did you have to cut it long ways to make it fit? Or did it just lay down flat in there?
@norabder10088 күн бұрын
I believe that I did. I have made another one out of cedar and I did not have to cut that one long ways. Three boards fit in the bottom perfectly. kzbin.info/www/bejne/omenZqeKdtB_opI

I just came across this video - as a newb DIYer, this is fantastic! I could be wrong, but this looks like it wouldn't be too complicated to convert to a storage + sitting bench by adding a top with hinges (?).

Pedro rocks! I just repaired my 2009 Accord after watching this video. Only took about a minute to do once I got situated in the trunk. Here's are several helpful hints when doing this: 1-wear safety glasses and a helmet just in case, 2-fold down the rear seat and enter the trunk from inside the vehicle, 3-have a helper standing outside of the trunk, 4-once the vice grips are locked on, you will need to exert quite a bit of torque to rotate the spring bar, I couldn't quite get it but then my helper pulled on my arm just a little and that was enough to lock it in place.

$13 intake i just did something similar bought a pod filter and stuck a peas can in it(cut both ends off) then into stock piping as a adapter going from the stock 3 inch piping then set it in stock under tray of intake box and make a heat shield around it does run rich but not stabbing it often paired with a muffler delete

I like the contrast between the legs and sides. I am jealous of the interesting grain that your pickets have, the ones in my area are all pretty plain. I build all cedar planters very similar to this. I like to build a base frame out of 2x4's to support the bottom and prevent any sagging. I also add blocks of 2x4 on the inside of the legs to carry the weight directly to the ground.
@jodhast.clair-canaii44272 ай бұрын
How did you measure of the spacing equally for the bottom base 2x4s?

The support for the bottom? I just estimated that.

I just put that intake on my 2007 accord, but when I start my car it stays on for like 5 seconds and turns off, I took out the filter but the same thing happens, do you know what's happening?
@norabder10082 ай бұрын
Not really sure. Make sure all the clamps are tight and the air flow sensor is attached properly. Those are really the only two things that I had to deal with.

This was very good as I did not have the Honda Tool and it would have taken 3 weeks for Honda dealership to bring it for me. I got the torsion bar (only one, the Left one) from the Honda Dealership and they got it for me the next day and it only costed me $23 (the cheapest compared to what the others were asking me on the Internet) and Honda did not charge me anything for shipping. This video helped me because this showed how to use the Locking Pliers. I bought the 10" Straight Jaw Locking Pliers and it was not that difficult to put the torsion bar through the slots. It took me only about 15 minutes to get this done. If I took it to the dealership for the repair, they told me that they would replace both the torsion bar and will charge $75 for the parts and another $75 for labor + taxes. I was so happy that I watched this video and thank My Everyday D.I.Y profusely.
