I have good memories of casting some mind control spell on him and him ending a turn by jumping downstairs and snapping his legs on my very first game.

How fascinating! So a newborn Mindflayer is first nourished by its “vessel,” just like a newly hatched chick is from its egg! Also, I have a head cannon that the Emperor either likes his “Memories of the vessel,” and models himself after those memories, OR he is truly the Adversary, humanity intact in a Mindflayer body, but he’s as neutral chaotic as he ever was. So he’s himself, he’s just a douchebag.

Best way to deal with this encounter I've found is this; set up your own ambush towards the tavern/healing house. Either side of the road there is high ground you can take. Put shield of faith on your highest AC character. Separate them from your party and scatter your party in various vantage points around your ambush point. Send the high AC character to trigger the ambush then immediately dash backwards. All their ranged attacks are attack rolls so you have a safe retreat. Run all the way back to where your ambush is set up, and all the Gith should run after you. This forces them to group up and makes them vulnerable to AoE effects. You are also stealthiest so you get advantage on your own attack rolls. Basically this turns the fight from a fight vs an enemy that is spread out on high ground to one where they are clustered and below you. You even get the first round of attacks with advantage.

This one just transformed and it STILL has longer tentacles than Tav.

I had additional options to pick from for the 1st and 3rd questions. Cant remember what the option was for the first question, but the 3rd gave me the option to choose "Letting her goddess down when it counted most." That was another right answer for the 3rd question, if anyone else gets it. Hope it helped and thank u for the guide.

Elixir of battle mage + potion of speed + hold monster +.....= profit. My DURG immortal ice wizard build lolpwned Orin in the duel. The battlemage elixor gave a 85% chance the hold monster would stick and she never got out of it while I nuked her each turn.

I didn't kill her and still got the Slayer form. I guess the game was bugged, but sinds it had no effect on my honour run i'm thankfull! It is worth killing Isobel in my opinion.
