I never bother with back labels. Find a dirt cheap sports game with a back label in good shape and simply swap the back. I use goof off and let it sit for about 30 minutes and it works great.

Goo gone usually works well with label stickers, the adhesive pretty much comes off easily when soaked in it. Great video!

A tip for sticker placement is to liberally wet the surface you are placing it onto and you'll be able to slide the sticker around, settling it into position to your liking...

those replacement labels are very low res compared to the original, there are better vendors online that can do a near impossible to tell repro.

A bit of heat is the magic to removing labels if you don't use goo gone. Either lightly hit it with a heat gun or take a lighter and very carefully heat the label, without putting it in to direct flame or keeping the flame in one spot, and it will take the label off easily on one pull.

That is why I only ordered games from them and the got it was supposed to good the stickers are bad and it was dirty

I don't care if you lit the controller on fire, shot it out of a cannon, or drove over it with a semi afterwards; you get my like for not replacing the joystick assembly with a crap potentiometer replacement. Though, TBF, you can buy replacement gear arms and bowls for pretty cheap now. Also, I think it might be better to coat the wear surfaces with high viscosity silicone oil than grease, then stretch the spring a little bit to give it some of its old tension back.
