Eddie VanHalan once said, or said a few times, that Jason Becker was the greatest guitarist in the world. I believe he was right.

I haven't heard this in easily 30 years. God, what a masterpiece. Love the insane bass lines and technical guitar. Dam, it's as pure to me now than when I first heard it. A true gem of an instrumental.

There aren't many people on this planet that plays circles around Marty friedman.... Jason becker was one of those people...

Jason Becker was faster But Marty Friedman evolved into a Monstrous Virtuoso. Japanese Rock, Folk Music, Jazz, Blues, Thrash, Country. Also his Micro bends are untouched
@akidk14993 жыл бұрын
@CryptoDaddy No... Marty Friedman still stands as the best composer. Too much innovation.... He maintained that level from the 80s till now... Wall of Sound Inferno Introduction Scene Dragon's Kiss Jason was a prodigy, but as a composer, he was and is still below Friedman, and yea we never know if he could have become more.... because we only heard Perpetual Burn... Cacophony was more of Marty As a guitarist, Becker is above Friedman. Friedman doesn't like to sweep or tap...
@akidk14993 жыл бұрын
@CryptoDaddy Yea But Becker's Altitude pales in comparison to Forbidden City or Valley of Eternity. Jason is a God. But if you are talking about Composition, Friedman was and is still better. Becker sadly couldn't reach that level as he succumbed to ALS.
@akidk14993 жыл бұрын
@CryptoDaddy Preferences are absolutely true. But when you think about Composition in the orthodox (Clasical sense ). Ultimately it's a matter of preferences And a matter of what could have been??

@@sean._.guitar Idk man. Becker recorded altitudes when he was 16 lol I'm not saying you're wrong, but they are definitely naturally talented, and also put in the hard work. A lot of people could practice for a lifetime and not be able to play like these guys
