Well, not surprised you two are different in your employment histories. But that's partly why this works so well. And can we just talk about how i started out dating a garage band drummer with long hair, and ended up with Santa? 😎
@unemployedforaliving3 күн бұрын
The drumming was just something to do until I turned gray enough to be Santa 🤣🎅🤣🎅

Great show! I enjoyed hearing about all the things Cory has done. It also made me think, "wow, I'm a boring person." 😂 I already knew Ken's story, but it was fun hearing it again.

Quite a diverse background, Cory. I'm surprised you had any time to watch The Pretender, which was one of my favorite shows also. Jared was pretty smart and adoptable. A good role model to follow, except I wouldn't take it upon myself to do any brain surgery or such. Your point that each job experience gives you various skill sets that can be adapted to other future jobs is so true. I have always done that also. Do we get to hear your job history from 2010 on next week? Should be equally as interesting. But let Ken start next time. Just sayin' Great new direction, looking forward to the rest of the podcasts. And, hey, this episode wasnt resellery at all! Mike from NY

If you believe that, I got a bridge to sell you in Lost City, Wyomimg (go look it up). But first I guess I better watch the show. BTW I quit all my full time jobs- about 4 of them - so I would be qualified to watch this new channel. This better work out, guys!!

This is great!! Very excited for you guys going forward!! Caleb and I have also had similar conversations regarding direction and focus for 2 Old Guys. I feel like finding a broader niche with greater mass appeal is super important long term, especially for the sake of keeping the content fresh. Plus I think we would all like to expand our listening audience while still providing useful information and entertaining content that is hopefully coupled with humor and encouragement. You guys are gonna do great with this!!

Interested to see the new direction. Sad that you weren't excited to do the podcast anymore, but totally understand & appreciate the redirecting instead of killing it. Maybe as a suggestion cut the phone call short & save the convo for the podcast? I think we all would appreciate the multi directional conversation. Side note: Cory how are you able to sit thru the whole podcast, but not a phone call? Lol One other suggestion is to keep you both on screen at the same time instead of big screen back & forth. It was quite distracting, i had to just listen cuz it was making me nauseous. But excited to see you next episode! Ps....wings are served in their sauce. Not on the side.
@unemployedforaliving10 күн бұрын
All great suggestions!! We are definitely working with the editing style and have plans to improve in upcoming episodes. I guess I (Ken) wlll have to agree to disagree on the chicken wing debate. I can see this one going on for a while 🤣
