Yeah im that old man and when I was a young man still understood that to be true. For example, my 240S13 KA24DET is still bigger than that SR20 with an aluminum block. I have a stronger bottom end and can make as much power and then some.

Power train swap man find a wrecked sti from like copart and do the full swap, that's what I did even got a power train with almost 98k miles less then my car for only 3k and only paid 9k for my 2014 wrx 12k all together not Including previous mods I already had that swapped over too. I got lucky on the milage thing the sti was basically garaged it's whole life before the wreck and only had 11k miles on it

The WRX is fine other than the 5-speed. If you’re planning on making over 350hp, you’ll want to start off with a WRX STI. Power isn’t everything though. I have a Legacy GT and I’m only planning on 300hp. (Edit: STI)

@@oscarfavela6699 My WRX with the current setup should be making around 350-360whp and a little less torque, trying to keep the 5 speed alive as long as possible! I agree power isn’t everything, this car feels planted and so much fun to drive!

@@x2kae90 Correct, the pipping or intercooler itself doesn’t add horsepower. It is more efficient than stock. Allowing the upgraded turbo, and other modifications to make more power easier
