Respected MCS Kenny Houston. I'm a university student doing a masters degree. I have to congratulate you for this work. I would like to know how you modelled this CEL in Abaqus. If you share this entire video on modelling in Abaqus by applying ocean wave & current loads then it will be really helpful for my research project. hey, which material-model did you use for the soil? CAP-Plasticity? I'm trying to run the same simulation, but my soil is kind of "viscous"... did you change the hourglass-parameters? thank you for every answer!

Very interesting simulation, what is the maximum amount o deformation that you can accomplish in that configuration. I’m currently working whit a similar model, do you right some article about this that I can read?

im trying to do the same with a pipe of mine, the area of the pipe between the two loads doesnt seem to have high stress, unlike yours....are u using a contact property between the loading pads and the pipe?

CEL method is available in ABAQUS, and indeed it was made in ABQUS Check description sir.

hi. abaqus have not fos but you can use srm method for reduction c and phi of soil by using field variable that import in abaqus by subrotin

Thanks for the comment. The whole model is 3D, including the dropped object. The dropped object was a wedge/ prism. Are you in the offshore O&G industry? Please let me know if you have any more questions.
