@ firstly. There is no flat earth. 2nd. He is God of everything. Dead are dead until raised with Christ. And they are dead until he returns. Now if you think it’s ok then to “talk to the dead” for answers - you have a serious serious problem. They are NOT living at all

​@@davemonty1650​​ @davemonty Bless your heart. It is good that you were wise enough to express your concern for yourself and others. I think I can solve your dilemma. I grew up in a small predominantly African American church. In these churches, the pastors often end the sermons with application given through what is called a hoop. The pastor kind of sings the application and congregants talk back agreeing by saying amen, tell it, make it plan, show you're right... So pastors during that time would then and still do, give examples of people in the Bible who experienced what was or is being preached. To do this, they may say ask Brother Job or Sister Ruth. It does not mean to talk to the dead. It means to let the scriptures with their stories illustrate the point being made. Hence, ask Daniel, just means go to the book of Daniel, read his story and the story will tell you the point the pastor is making. Confused? This is another example outside of the Bible. Someone may say I want to know what it is like to preach to millons of people. Another may say, if you want to know, ask or look at Billy Graham or Charles Stanley or even a living person like David Jeremiah. Since the average person is not able to talk to David J and the former two are deceased, it simply means to look up or study their lives and see what they were or are like. I hope this helps. Many things have to be explained to me too. We are always learning. And if there is another answer, atleast you know this too. If you go back and listen to the song it says they testify. A synonym for testify is witness. Thus, Daniel in the Hebrew boys are witnesses.

@@davemonty1650 Unto God are the issues from death. The Bible says Old Testament saints went to paradise under the earth and Jesus led them to heaven when He was raised from the dead. Saints do not die but go to heaven. Jesus said whoever believes in me shall never die. With respect to non-believers the Book of Revelation 20-22 says all will be judged at the great white throne judgment and those whose names are in the book of life will be resurrected onto the new earth. Jesus said repent or perish but He also said the just have no need of repentance. Acts 24:15 says there is the resurrection of the dead the just and the unjust. 1 Timothy 4:10 says God is the saviour of all men especially those that believe. John 5 says the day will come when those in the graves will hear the voice of God and the just will be resurrected back into life. Romans 2 says the just Gentiles are a law unto themselves. No you don't talk to the dead and you pray only to God.
