Why do they not use this beautiful music for their signing off montage anymore? Ode to Joy alone is one one the greatest pieces of music ever but put it together with the Olympic athletes and it's glorious.

My cat's head is down and cannot lift it by itself. By the time I stop holding it, the head is no longer straight. Before this happened, I discovered that it was sleeping in the basket in inconvenient position. Is that the cause or lack of K?

My suggestion is to get a genetic test to see if it’s Burmese hypokalemia. Hard to say nowadays as this gene (discovered in 2012) has been fairly ruthlessly bred out of the breed by professional breeders: vgl.ucdavis.edu/test/burmese-hypokalemia

Many people dismiss sport as grown men being boys again. Most of those people couldn't walk around the block if their life depended on it. When one sees those images, coupled to Beethoven's immortal music, one is reminded that there is such a thing as the joy of effort. THE JOY OF EFFORT. The knowledge that one has pushed their body, mind, and soul to do things that were thought unattainable, to places beyond physical endurance and beyond pain. Sometimes, one has been forced to accept defeat, to accept that some goals, whether one likes it or not, are beyond one's reach. There is no shame in that. Where there is infinite, unendurable, SHAME is in the LOATHSOME EXCUSE. In the concept that one's inability is not in the lack of even a feeble attempt at doing something, but in saying that race, gender, economic situation, whatever, is to blame, not even for defeat, but for not even trying. Just as these images are in the past, so it seems that reaching for lofty goals is in the past too. Too much of BLM, of CRT, of rainbow this and inclusive that, of petty achievements obtained by whining, to contemplate glory.

I am struggling with a very similar or so to say the same phenomenon with a 13 months old cat, a calico, domestic kitty. I would appreciate any tips and advice urgently. We are desperate to find the best solution and see her back to her lively mood again. My heart is breaking. Thank you for recommending your treatment methods on [email protected].
@Ed__Powell4 жыл бұрын
If your cat has these symptoms, there may be a kidney problem or you may just need potassium supplement like RenaKare or Tumil-K. They can be had from any veterinarian or by prescription from any decent pharmacy. Standard dose is 2.5 cc twice daily but you can use more or less depending on your kitty's response.

I'm really sorry about the sound quality. It was the best we could do under the circumstances in 2000. However, look around the web. @Ed__Powell5 жыл бұрын
We did get hind-leg weakness in both cats when they were very old. We tried the Assisi loop for this in Alexander, but it didn't have much of an effect, though some people have reported great success. We did not have paw tremors, but it might be any of the things in this article: pets.thenest.com/can-cats-parkinsons-disease-10589.html

@@Ed__Powell Thank you, he is only six and it began a year ago and has progressively gotten worse. If he doesn't have a potassium deficiency would it be dangerous to give him a supplement? I'd love to keep testing but we just can't go to a kitty neurologist sadly.
@Ed__Powell5 жыл бұрын
@@Chenoah. A short-term potassium supplement won't hurt. You should see effects within a week if it really is potassium deficiency. Give the powder in food if he'll eat it, otherwise, put the powder in empty gelcaps and give him the gelcaps (two #2 gelcaps twice a day), or use the gel (2.5 cc twice a day in an oral syringe): www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/renakare-oral-gel Both need a prescription, so you'll have to talk to your vet. If you don't see improvement in a week, it's not helping and you can stop. Cats can get hyperkalemia too and that's not good.

Alexander was a very placid kitty. Our other kitty required being wrapped in a towel to keep his claws out of play. And quick work prevents (most) bites. Like all things, it takes practice and a willingness to fail and try again.

HELP! My little darling is 14 years and last year diagnosed with the same. As long as we give her the daily dosis she is obviously very happy. We have to give her 4 times a day a bit of potassium powder hide in butter. We managed to give her a little butter on her paw so she have to lick it of. But lately she is fed up with it and refuses to eat her dosis. So we tried to hide it i a special paste from the vet. No. We tried cheese. No. Fresh meat or chicken. No. Tasty canned food from our vet. No. She never liked soft food anyway. When I force her she get very stressed. I don't like that. We are getting desperate....Anybody know another trick?
