I had this done but had to get it removed because i guess its weight sensitive. But i did get to keep the screws since we paid for them lol.

Sorry to hear this. We select patients very carefully and try to avoid these situations. Patient selection is critical with Hyprocure. I hope your surgeon has found an alternative solution. BW The Foot Consultant

Thank you for your question. I have many many patients who are extremely active after Hyprocure and there is no reason why you cannot play sport afterwards. The most important part is determining if Hprocure is right for you so please whoever you see make sure you have a detailed assessment.

Gee, it's too bad that I am in Northern Florida. Dr. Metcalfe seems to be a lot more knowledgeable than the two podiatrist that I have been to. Does anyone have recommendations for a great doctor closer to my area?

3 дня после операции делала в Израиле. Сказали что в процессе сломали какую-то спицу и что бы ее достать разрезать пришлось больше чем обычно.

Depende que tipo de hallux valgus tengas, si es un hallux leve moderado sin hípermovilidad no tendría indicacion en primera linea con una mini scarf o una chevron bastaria.

Jestem 4 tydzień po usunięciu haluxa tą wlasnie metodą. Po 4 tygodniach noga prawie normalnie się zachowuje, prócz tego, że jeszcze puchnie .

I underwent this surgery on both foot joints at the same time one year ago. I have three screws in each foot holding the bones in place. So far everything has been fine. Surgery went smoothly and the surgeon and medical colleagues were very professional. I really appreciate whoever it was that made this video. I have linked to it several times to explain to friends/family/my employer what the procedure involved. Thank you for this resource!

Just had mine done and found this fascinating but cannot understand the reason behind sliding bone across then screwing. Is it for strength? Also, how is large toe straightened out?

Scarf osteotomy I’m assuming you mean? It’s a very strong position to hold bone hence why it’s used and it’s also reliable too

I had this surgery in april they didnt shave the bone at the end the surgeon explained that the NHS dont do this anymore because there is nothing wrong with bone its just in the wrong place i was told 12 months before full recovery ... i was playing golf after 6 weeks cant rate the NHS high enough
