For those wondering why she returned to Fritz, Here's a theory... She showed some interest in Eldian culture by the way she looked at a wedding. She lived in a primitive time of cruelty and hardship; on some level, she understood how strong a leader and man Fritz was. A man that would never allow what happened to her; to happen to her children. We really have no reason to believe the other expanding kingdoms were any better or kinder...
