I love my understable PA-5 putter disc. That left to right flight(anhyzer) is a beautiful and most effective flight path because a disc will most always finish with a left path. My motto is "straight is great!"☺Bill M., PDGA#7378, Uncasville, CT

I love my Prodigy discs like you do. The turnover discs like the understable F7 and H9 are my favorites along with the PA-3 putter. I like to keep the weights under 170 grams, with a 160 gram weight being the best for me. You are so right about having too many discs in your bag. Keep it simple and get to really know the flight paths of each disc. A real good player can make about 5 or 6 total discs work when playing a round of a course with holes 240 to 350 feet long.☺Sincerely, Happy Holidays B Dubs, Bill M. PDGA#7378, Uncasville, CT☺

Good introduction. Reminded me my drive has crept into a bad habit of doing too much around instead of through. Your students made good progress. Only thing I'd suggest changing might to to stick to throwing mids for throwing standstills if you have enough to share, and save the fairway drivers for after introducing weight shifting or even a slight step into the shot. The part about going too left probably stems from throwing under the fairway's design speed.
@BDubsDiscGolf

If you want an truly understable M4 get one in 400G. They're the most understable. The 400 will easily hyzerflip. The Cale runs of M4 always seem to be more OS than any other. Yeah, F2s are notoriously different from run to run. Some hyzerlip. some have been F1 beefy. But, that's been my experience with pretty much all of the US made molds. Plastic and run make all the difference so I tend to only buy them when I can feel them first.
@BDubsDiscGolf
@BDubsDiscGolf 5 күн бұрын
@@JohnBell3 I completely agree. I hope to do a future video in discs that are the same mold but different plastics and weights. Although six sided discs already does this the best. I will definitely try the M4 in 400G. Thanks for watching.

This brought up flashbacks to the first things I ended up trying to teach myself about disc golf…your trainees made some great progress, honestly, Danea seems like she’s got her anhyzer flex throws on lock, and Kendra ended up getting some pretty good distance out of just a few minutes of form practice. I like the reference “baskets” as opposed to holes. Never thought about it, but it makes more sense to call em baskets. On another note, I recently put together a bag of just XCOM discs. For December, how about a 12 Days of Brettmas at some point? You can make a list of 12 different things that you want to try out, the 12 best tips you have put into action, or maybe something like a ript revenge type of thing where you have to do 12 crazy shots - one in each video. Just an idea.

Early release vs. griplock. It really depends on the situation which is worse. As a general mistake, I can see the take that early release is worse. I think it typically indicates an under commitment to whatever it is you were intending to do. Griplock may indicate just a bit too much want in whatever it is you were trying to do. I get frustrated by both, knowing that my timing is off whenever either of those occur. I do find fatigue can lead to one or the other as well.

Here's an idea. I've done this before and was rather surprised at how many times I played the shot I wouldn't normally throw. You would probably want to do this at Horizons but you could do it anywhere. Two shots off every tee, one back hand and one forehand. It'll be a start on learning the forehand and possibly showing you some new lines!

@@BDubsDiscGolf The only reason I list them separately is that a course can have stand alone beauty, then a club may decide to alter it. Typically to benefit, but sometimes the alteration takes away from the appeal a course may have. We have a local course that this happened to. Really created a very stark looking course while taking away a lot of natural habitat that benefited the wildlife that was there before. If you ever get out to Cali reach out to me I would be happy to act as guide to some of the courses we have in north central part of the state. Above San Francisco basically. Thanks for the content, very human. I dig it. As an aside I prefer the 2 hot geese to some of the other coverage out there.
