To add side spin we have to hit the ball on the lower side of the string and not the center of the string bed? Can you clarify more on how to generate side spin?

Thank you Coach! When I hit on the rise, I find I have to be in open stance because I do not have enough time to close my stance as you demonstrate. Can you comment?
@JuseungParkTenniscAcademySG22 күн бұрын
@@circuitdesign Hi~Thank you for the comment. It depends on situation. Optimal stance is semi open. But you can take neutral, open or over open stance also. So more important thing is how fast you perceive and turn for the ball. Thanks.

Great lesson about hitting the ball on rise. Whenever i proactively moving into the court to take the ball early i have better control of the game as supposed to waiting the ball to bounce up and hit when its coming down.

You can add more on after unit turn, run to wide ball to the left, short ball, or stepping back for high bounced ball.

@@san209nha9 Thank you for leaving comment. I know a lot of variable situations. But they are essential in two handed backhand. Hope it works to all. Thanks.

Total BS the short cut to the wrist injury
@bmanbusee3812Ай бұрын
Yeah. The straight left to right doesn’t happen in true kick serves like the pros. I’ve played with this for years and found the easiest way is to simply toss the ball at a 45 degree angle slightly above your head. Then just stay sideways while the racquet approaches at same angle and do left to right with pronation. Easy kick

Thanks to comment. Tennis has a lot of risk for injury. More over supination can occur small injury. But if you know and utilize proper ways what you need it, you can minimise and execute it more efficiently. Thanks.

So far your explanation of the Kick serve is the best I have seen in 65 years. Kudos! And English isn’t even your first language, right? LOL.

Great video coach. Not many instructors teach keeping the non-dominant hand on the racket during the drop and partially forward. I've found this to be helpful.

it's easy if you're already a pro ;) When you watch pros do it, it always looks so smooth and easy. I still have trouble haha even though I think it's so easy ;) Thanks anyway

There's a reason it's called backHAND. Tennis swings are open-hand slaps, but with racquet in hand.
@robertrenk70742 ай бұрын
I changed my grip and that’s helped immediately
@johndunn34922 ай бұрын
It’s kind of the mirror image of the forehand. For topspin, you dial your racket closed a bit or a lot, depending on what you like. You also dial it closed with your backhand. When I first did this, my first shots hit the bottom of the net until I got used to the new angle, but now I get top spin.

Your 1 point is actually bevel 1 which is the Eastern backhand grip
