You know I am a big fan of Bob's work. Elegant simplicity with modernity to it. I can definitely see the influence. Great stuff man.

Hey, what type of oil? fish, olive, Hydraulic, Gear??? What do you use???
@villapinstriping10 күн бұрын
Neatsfoot oil is the best option. Mineral oil works too. Old timers use motor oil. It's kind of a point of controversy...

It's good that I just met you...I'm 40 years old and I would like to start the world of pinstriping (it's never too late) especially as a hobby...I know absolutely nothing...what paints are used and what additives are added to be able to start drawing lines??...thank you very much
Thank you for everything you share with us on your channel.

Is it true that it's hard to clear over one shot. I started with some of their product and like it but I have heard this rumor.
@villapinstriping21 күн бұрын
It's just something that needs to be learned. Clearing requires a few light coats over 1 shot before going full blast. Making sure the 1 shot is dry also helps. Adding hardener can greatly increase the odds in your favor. Just something that needs to be tested for you to understand how it will react

Is this technique safe to do on an actual vehicle??
@villapinstriping28 күн бұрын
Yes I've been using these techniques on vehicles for years. Mostly using mineral spirits over the years and just recently switched over to Naphtha as my main reducer. I only suggest that you wipe off something in a inconspicuous spot first just to make sure there's no reaction to the vehicles paint. I've had no issues in my 9 years Pinstriper

Not a slow burn at all! Perfectly paced and really inspiring to watch. I loved seeing how you built the design up - seeing it literally take form from video to video and hearing your thought process as you considered your next move. Thank you for doing this series. I'll definitely be re-watching it as I practice.

It's usually 50/50 if people like them. Sometimes I'll have a design that won't sell... Then I add the 'Fuzzle' and it sells the next day 😂. I appreciate the input tho

I really need to get back into striping. I haven’t done it in like 3 years. I’m going to have to learn to paint in high humidity since I moved to Tampa. It’s more humid than I’m use too.

Hi, I was wondering if you had a way I could contact you for a collaboration commission possibly? I have an artist in mind to cover up my tattoo but I would love to add some im embellishments like this
@villapinstripingАй бұрын
No problem. You can usually get a hold of me best on Instagram or Facebook. Freddie Villa on Facebook and @villapinstriping on Instagram. Or you can email me at [email protected]
I use 1 shot for lettering and custom painting on helmets gas tanks etc.etc.,, and yes I do use this hardener in my 1 shot enamel,, I use 10% and yes I do drops and there are times when I only have about 1/8th oz. of 1 shot so I then guess about 5 drops and these drops are from ice cream stir sticks,,, the hardener will make the paint set up much faster and then I use a little clear fluothane to smooth the paint out and slow the drying... I wanted to say I do spray a 2k clear urethane over my work and the main thing is to let the 1 shot dry at least 2 to 3 days,,, My 1st coat of clear is a tack coat very light and almost like a fog coat, let dry 15 to 20 minutes before 2nd medium coat let dry 40min and finale coat I spray a medium wet coats. Remember your not spraying over a base coat. One more thing I wanted to add, I always have samples of all the colors I use for each job and I spray clear over the samples before I spray my custom work. Hope that helps and thanks for your help Vill Pinstriping too. Signs by: Tom
