Except for the fact that an inductive statement at the beginning about the native salmon being nearly disappeared . You would think from that alone they would not have interbred, so it doesn’t make the hypothesis that much more true. But if the previous species had done it and newly introduced one does as well, what’s the common factor ? The environment. Though the question doesn’t say if native salmon lived in both shallow and deep granted.

So on the concept of inverting not (every x is y) and cats, if I claimed that it is NOT the case that not every cat is nice, my two options I could come to via a logical conclusion would be that either every cat is nice or every cat is not nice, correct? If I say that it is NOT the case that some of X are not like Y, then either all X must or must not be like Y, correct?

Feels like your dismissal of A is quite hasty? Wouldn't a biased group collecting data call into question the results? Like if a political campaign conducted a survey of voters that found a surprising result, wouldn't that explain the same surprising result? Eg "do you want a confident leader?", "do you want someone who's tough on the border?", "do you want someone who will grow the economy?" and then found it surprising that not all of these voters supported their candidate, despite the leading questions?

So, when we're taking the LSAT, do you recommend that we compare the stimulus conclusion to the answer choice conclusion and quickly deciding whether they are parallel and then move on to the next question?
@fredbost63236 ай бұрын
Very little substance. Who cares about your favorite episodes! People who are about to spend $250k on law school don't need entertainment. They need substance. You need to spend far more time on how to help people master questions and the content behind the question.

These are helpful but whenever explaining the answer choices, the guy goes into way too much depth and it overcomplicates it and makes it confusing

Isn't "S" a floater? Why does it have to be 4th in Game board 1? This was 9 years ago, but I could imagine folks trying to copy as he's going along, and erasing the crap out of their work lol. Love how he said, "Students will just feel the force with regards to getting an answer... They'll feel the force." lol

I’m pretty sure this answer is wrong. The interbreeding hypothesis and the genetic adaptation hypothesis are not mutually exclusive because interbreeding could’ve introduced desirable traits to one of the populations of salmon which, through evolutionary pressures, became the standard traits for the group. That would still constitute adapting genetically to the environment. When we talk about genetic adaptation, the traits are usually introduced through random mutation, but that doesn’t have to be the case. They could be introduced through interbreeding with another species

Let’s be very honest here, the logic games section is about beating the game, not some measure of one’s ability to actually perform the duties of a law student. I learned how to beat the game and that costs money and requires access many students don’t have.

While being familiar with the subject matter certainly helps in some cases (as a History major, sometimes the Humanities passages are easier for me than say a Science passage), it can also hurt you because you may unconsciously put your own biases into what you read, which is bad. Reading Comprehension tends to be easier if you're very good at summarizing passages, I found out that this helps a lot especially with unfamiliar topics like Law or Science.

Great point about some 1-3 star questions being incredibly hard and some 5 star questions being incredibly easy. Had a recent PT where the only LR question I missed was a 2-star question.
