If people wanted to do it themselves they would. The whole point of hiring someone else to do it is so you dont have to do it yourself. Anyone can clean their own car, but not everyone wants to or has the time to. So you pay someone else to do it

Most of the time people get into detailing are when they got their car going to be sold after, had collectibles, or classic cars that has extreme value. So yeah, 175 is "just pennies" if you are one of these 3 categories rather than paying 4-5 figures once it's too late. 😂
