I'm a computer science major at UOP finishing up my associates now. I have a associates degree in New Media Production from a local community college that I got for free through gov tuition programs. I actually received excess money to go to community college for my first associates, which ended up covering the entire tuition at UOP for me as well!! So UOP has been working for me! It's legitimacy in the corporate world is definitely something that the program struggles with. But at the same time I think that the program is a really low cost method of getting credentials on your resume. Would definitely recommend going to a community college first though if you can.

Just a side note. You can claim to live in Texas by getting a P.O. Box from a private P.O. Box service that gives you a physical address and a P.O. Box number. Most places that officer this service also offer mail forwarding. So when your mail goes to the Texas P.O. Box the company then forwards the mail to your actual address out of state.

This is an amazing story. I’m in course to finish my degree in two more months and I want to start and finish my masters right after. My question is how would employers view this if I completed my BA and MS in the same year? Would they think I just speed my way through and don’t hire me?

When I went to college, they wanted to keep me there & paying as long as possible. I had to leave & finish at a different college to finally get my degree.
