I just hope they follow the lead of team sports titles and release the game BEFORE the upcoming season begins. Dropping a game in the middle of near the end of a NASCAR season is an epic L imo. Daytona is the sports' biggest event and dropping the game a couple weeks or the week before it would draw more attention, and immediate sales than when the playoffs are imminent.

They had an update from the team saying if you asked our fans, they'd probably say NR2003, Dirt to Daytona, or one of the mid 2000s EA titles is probably their favorite game. This is already a good sign. They're aware of the expectation and what makes a good game.

I've been an iRacing member for 13 years. They work very closely with NASCAR and will not half ass a NASCAR game like EA or Motorsport Games have in the past. For those not in the know, iRacing uses a laser scan process to digitally recreate both cars and tracks within their game engine, and nowadays the accuracy of the laser scans are greater than 99%. They also have very intricate physics models for the chassis, suspension, tires, damage, etc. Also I think it's worth mentioning that the creative director for the game is literally Dale Jr. The attention to detail compared to previous games will be unmatched. However, don't expect NASCAR 25 to be a prettier version of iRacing for consoles. I will bet the driving experience will be most similar to Gran Turismo 5's version of NASCAR than iRacing, you may have more of the silly stuff like over exaggerated draft and rivals who try to bully you off of the track, but if I'm right it will look and feel more like a NASCAR game than any of the other recent attempts by other companies.

Want the game to continue what they were building on with NASCAR Heat 4 in 2019. They already got that going for them... AI, career, content, and now more resources.

I really can’t wait because the best overall nascar game in my life, on console, was Thunder 04. You could hear the track announcer talking about what was happening in the pits when you stopped. It added so much realism to the overall experience. The problem was PS2 racing games had no kind of precision steering wise. If they would remaster that one & leave it be except better graphics & fixing the steering issues of the PS2 era, it would be huge. People who weren’t around then, like yourself, would love it imo. I still want something new that’s worthy, but a remaster of Thunder 04 would be special for many of us older fans.

People don’t understand how truly complex it actually is to make a good game with a team. Also something that keeps pissing me off is the belief that Unity is the problem with some of these games. Sure Unreal has better lighting and it can look better in certain ways, but it’s really the people who work on it that make it a good or bad game. You need the right people who work well together with effective communication. The GUI is one of the most important pieces of the game to me, beyond the racing, the Heat GUI was trash, and the Eutechnyx was alright. It should be more interactive and interesting as well as optimized to save time for the player. I want a full career mode, doesn’t have to be in the first game but- by the third we should be able to buy new shops that change the background and the number of employees we can hire as well as the cars we can store and prep for races. And some storyline would be nice as well for the career.

Heat 4 and 5 were objectively good nascar games, we in the console League racing community still use them today.

They need to have 2 handling modes. Simulation, so as raw as Iracing is. And arcade for the casual controller player. I hope this turns into a sim racing title

I'm pretty happy with heat 5 right now I still play it regularly or at least when I have time. But I wish there was more things for me to spend my in-game money on. I have fully maxed out teams in every series but I can't hire new drivers whether they're AI generated or not regardless nobody retires people don't change teams nothing changes it gets stagnant when you're racing in all three series winning between because admittedly I'm playing on medium to normal with no assists. I went about seven cup races every season I've not once want a championship in any of the series though because I just suck at Phoenix. And I usually went about 9 in truck. Exfinity about 5 I hate those cars. But I want to be able to run multi-car teams I want dynamic sponsorship where if we don't perform we can lose a car sponsor and it cost me more money to run it every time. I want to hire an a randomly generated AI driver with a random name from a list of prospects or hire somebody up from Xfinity if they become available or trucks even. I don't want to have to run Can-Am on my truck every single year because I happen to drive a Ford team. Which is kind of funny in its own way because my entire playthrough up until cup the only rides I got were Chevrolet and my driver has a Japanese name XD That might sound like a lot but if I just got NASCAR heat 5 with those additions put in I'd be satisfied.

I would expect a teaser trailer at the Daytona 500, or a release date, this all depends on when they will release the game, the later the release date, the later everything gets released

Listen, as a console gamer without the funds to re-experience all the older games on original hardware; I'd love to see a game that actually includes multiple eras of chassis'. You wanna run a season in singleplayer in cars from the 80s? You got it. Cars from the 60s? You got it. What about the COT? That's there too, etc etc. Fully understand that there's sims out there to relive those pipe dreams but just once I'd love that variation. The build-up to where we're at now. Something like a rally game where you go through different tiers and eras of vehicles would be amazing.

Bit off topic- I've been holding off on iracing until it's a new game engine. To me it's the same as NR2003. I'm waiting until a true next generation engine is available. Whenever that happens I'll buy a rig.

I hope there are some sliders to adjust: for drafting effect, side draft effect, dirty air effect, tire wear, aggressiveness, blocking skill, mirror driving, etc, along with each driver having their own set of skill levels in various areas. It needs to be more dynamic than in racing games past so the the players have more control and can adjust to their individual preferences or needs for more or less realism, easier or harder difficulty, etc.

I still have faith. If anyone can make a great NASCAR game, it's the papyrus and monster games people

After playing some bad racing games, i want it to be consistent with the actual rules. NASCAR games have been okay on that, but the recent NHRA game seemed to make some stuff up that gets rather frustrating. Changing the difficulty shouldnt also change the skill of the AI. Bump drafting should not cause them to crash. Lets also get a custom paint booth in career mode. Im on Heat 4 and its a small thing that could make a world of difference. Wish list would be a career mode where money doesnt become irrelevant.
