If it was just when you turn,I could see ot being Tie Rod or Balljoint , but its worse when youre driving straight , so my guess is either a transmission/driveshaft issue or possibly a CV axle

Check to see if you have a bad ball joint housing if not it’s probably the tire rod

My ford explorer sport 4x4 has a similiar sound but it only does it when I turn right or go straight EDIT: it was my halfshaft, for a 2WD it’s called a cv shaft

Mine makes this noise.. took the front drive shaft out Thinkin it was the u joint, no. Changes my cv axles, no. No play in my wheel hubs… so tie rods or ball joints?

Sound like a dry ass wheel bearing to me.🤷🏻‍♂️ ball joint or tire rod ends have been a whole different sound from my experience. Maybe I've just never let them go that far. But my truck has bas ball joints and they sound nothing like that.

So that can be a few things that could be a wheel bearing ball joint could also be stabilizer end links I would have your entire suspension rebuilt thing about heavy trucks and cars once you put pressure on the one part they all start to fail after each one so to just fix the entire problem 1 time and not have to deal with it again replace the entire suspension system the truck is old enough so it’s not out of expectation to have multiple parts fail.

Unfortunately i have seen backing plates get bent and rub on the rotor making that same noise.

@@gabrielplaysguitar7728 My passenger side hub fail off 😂😂😂 now the rear hub is bad. I changed my front hubs and control arms. 4 weeks ago. I was told to change all hubs then. But we all aren't millionaires lol. I spent 1000 on my car already. It's a Lexus so it's high maintenance but it's worth it.

To know exactly you need to jack the truck up and put it on stands, to rule out the issue.

I’m having a similar sound in my mercury sable 3.0 v6 only when I accelerate in gear don’t do it in park replaced cv axles nothing replaced lower motor/trans mounts didn’t fix the problem does it going straight and turning
