Look. There are a ton of drivers getting on I5 from 520 and getting off at union....just as this person did. Except. He did it with almost no traffic. It is a very short distance between that on ramp and the off ramp while trying to cut across 4 lanes of traffic doing 60mph while tailgating. Like 2 feet off the bumper tailgating. At 60mph. Yeah. Most that make the exit are not getting there until they almost hit the wall at the start of the exit at 60mph. Notice a theme??? And when i say 60mph,I'm just talking the posted limit. Not the speed traffic is ACTUALLY traveling most of the time. Another issue. Thats a main way for traffic to get to the high tech centers around south lake union. Emplyoying many contract workers from around the world...most I doubt have a US drvers license or even have a clue what the signs on the road mean

I see. So the "problem" is that because it goes uphill, if you dont reduce the car speed beforehand, you end up loosing grip from the ground (because you launched yourself in the air). Still, by rule of safety you need to activate the brakes before the curve, not during it, so if you end up crashing is because you were "pedal to the metal".

I knew it was a bad design. There would obviously be fast drivers coming from the expressway so the road should be wider. The corner even has an illusion like it's a little bit further but is actually not so atleast put a big circle mirror so drivers would know that it's a wall.

This needs two yellow flashing caution lights at the top of that tunnel.

i drove on this as a tourist last month. I immediately recognized that i had in fact survived THAT exit ramp. It was very hard....i had to pay attention to road signs. 😱😱😱
