Glancing blows are also an indication the helmet is working. Non-direct hits glance and are survivable.

I bought a National Ordinance 1903a3. Someone on reddit mentioned that those are a "big pile of repro poo" and are considered by many to be unsafe to shoot. Does the information you provided apply to those as well? Or are they a different story entirely? From what I understand, National Ordinance took some old parts kits to make reproductions of the 1903a3.

I was able to go to Dragonman's this summer and take the tour. I don't know nearly as much as you guys about the historic details of all this stuff. But it was still super interesting. There is so much stuff and the tour is 2 hrs. He doesn't actually give the full tour. There are 2 or 3 other guys that do most of it. You think the German room was creepy, you should see the Desert Storm room! Some weird stuff. But the weirdest is that he has his mom and dad's ashes and mannequins with the cloths they last wore with a bunch of their stuff set up. The guy has tons of just stuff, uniforms, radios, lights, gas masks, medical gear, vehicles, etc. He's a big Elvis fan, so he has 3 huge rooms of Elvis and 1950's stuff. I'm sure you've seen videos of all of it. I guess what I'm getting at is I appreciate you all taking the time to point out some of the historical inaccuracies. As a person that loves history, but doesn't know WWII to the details you guys do, it was still super interesting and worth the tour, to me. Even if some of the stuff is reproductions. Keep doing some more of these, I learn so much from you guys.

Oke two thing I could like to comment on. 1: They have been doing these Dragonman streams for a while now. Starting back in june with the D-Day room (where Michael Akkerman went berserk over all the material on display). I do really recommend watching those streams. And 2: Dragonman has the ashes and cloths of his deceased parents on display in the Desert storm room? Apart from the fact on what do they have to do with the first Golf war. Why would you under any circumstances put the cloths and ashes of your deceased parents on display in your museum? Even if it was in there will to be on display in there son's museum, I would still go: mom, dad its just not happening. It really go to show that there is something seriously mentally wrong with Dragonman.

I always thought the problem with UCP wasn’t the pattern, but the palette. Although, I think the pixels should be enlarged. It’s like they made it look cool up close, but up close doesn’t matter. At distance, the colored pixels just blend together, defeating any disruption the pattern has. Larger pixels would keep disruption at distances where it matters. Also, the cut of the uniform sucked. Looked baggy in all the wrong places. Needed to fit more like the Marines.

Any idea how up armor helmets take ceramic tile broken ceramic tile shards you take a bunch of duct tape make the duct tape strips and you take the sticky part of the strip and you put on a non sticky part of the strip first you make sure your home is clean first you clean the surface did you take strips of duct tape and keep on gluing it onto your helmet shards what this way to do is made a mess of a strike face on your helmet for steel helmet if a bullet strikes it what happened is a slow itself down or break up so much be able to take a hit from maybe one hit from a rifle round no it sounds a little goofy and something like you might see a MacGyver play weird enough it might work is military helmets are designed to stop fragments in front door anyway

I taught myself how to run a modern Ruger American fast, think I was able to cycle through 6 rounds in 8 seconds. Impressed some guys at the range with it. Helped that I was using a red dot on it, as soon as I switched it over to a scope it slowed me down a lot. Can probably still shoot it faster than most people though.
