They didnt just have two shots on target. They hit the woodwork twice and Allison had to make many more saves than their keeper. It wasnt a good performance. Slot said as much after the game. But we are a team in transition. If we can keep on getting the results you cant really complain. But we arent a great watch at the moment.

No mention Brian Murphy how well the manager has done his on & off field man management skills are fantastic , he grabbed Mac-Allister to sidelines after 21 mins against Wolves rweaked the system and worked treat , once he sees problem thats not working he identifies it straight away and sorts it himself not get other assistants to deal with it he problem solves there then ....

I enjoy listening to Slot. He says the right things 99% of the time. There is lots of positives in an overall sense. Gravenberch has been outstanding and was again last night. VVD & Konate have been brilliant too. From a tactical POV I think we need some tweaking. Even last night Bolonga found it far too easy to play out from the back and cut through us very easily. My concern is when we play against a higher quality side we could be cut to ribbons. Hopefully with the softer start fixtures wise it's given us a chance to adapt whilst still picking up good results.

You would think some of these making the comments played the game at the highest level in the comments, in anything you play you will be great some days and off it on others that is life ....

Deary me. Guys there's a reason the post match analysis either side of the Irish sea wasn't very complimentary towards Liverpool. It's because we were terrible, again. The lack of critical thinking from certain sections of the fanbase is staggering. These levels of performance are going to cause us trouble against the 1st good side we play.
@stephenkemp873711 сағат бұрын
Do you really think Brian the level of performance will stay the same, obviously not enjoy the ride Brian that's what we are in it for , if you can't enjoy this you are not doing it properly....

@stephenkemp8737 I'm hoping it doesn't Stephen. Because it won't hold up against a top side. It's great were winning at the moment whilst going through the very early stages of Slots reign but it's a very hard watch. We seem SO easy to play through and in Possession it's very hit and miss. Fingers crossed it improves soon. Some very tough games coming up
@BrianMurphy885 сағат бұрын
@talkinkop I'll definitely take you up on that offer soon. It's not about putting people in their place though Gav. It's about calling it for what it is. We have been really poor last few games and last night's game was rightly critiqued by RTE & TNT. They were dead right to point out how poor it was. So to turn around say (I'm paraphrasing) " we won and got a clean sheet so be happy", doesn't cut the mustard for me. Looking forward to hear your own thoughts on it. 👍

Slate me now mother f'ers😂 Said since pre season that everyone needs to calm the f*ck down because we've for a worldie in waiting, and see the amount of our own fans that said he's not good enough and never will be😳 embarrassing level of analysis. The players could make their lives easier though. Go to clubs who play less games like Portugal or Germany where there is 18 teams but the wages are so much lower they get two opportunities a year to play less games but they love the money too much

Was some right scutter comments on that Wolves games. Was an awful performance. Only for Wolves being so bad we got got away with it. Players looked so lethargic and complacent particularly in Possession. Poor passes, touches and decision making has been a massive factory of our past 2 league performances despite the results. Things need to improve quickly as we play some good teams very soon. Also the excuses made for Szoboszlai particularly by Seany were ridiculous. He was poor against Wolves. Yes he has alot of running to do but that doesn't excuse end product in terms of final passes and scoring goals. Someone also needs to remind him that he has a good shot on him. Seems reluctant to shoot from distance now.

The easiest way to reduce the number of games for English clubs is to get rit of 1 cup. Every other European club plays 1 national league and 1 national cup. Not saying this would fix the entire problem but at least it would level the playing field compared to other clubs in Europe. What Ten Hag is doing is trying to recreate a situation in which he was successful not understanding the world has changed. This conservatism is an illness many people suffer from, it delivered you Brexit 😅😉

Lads ye are missing the point of goons as you call them re the playing time and money. If Salah wasn’t on 350k or de bruyne wasn’t on 400k , clubs could have 2/3 Players on 100k sharing the work load and games but lads are looking for these salaries and with ffp clubs can’t afford back ups on huge wages. Ye all love the Liverpool sustainable model but how does that fit in with playing less games and paying lads huge salaries for less games?
@anthonyboylan54362 күн бұрын
Exactly these fuckers (the players) want the rewards, the glory, the recognition yet won't give up any game time just want less football. Watch what happens if Salah plays the first half and Chiesa plays the second every game he'd fucking fume like nothing else. Imagine the league brought in a rule where players only played 45 minutes and a new team had to come out second half and their wages were reduced they'd all fuck off to Saudi Arabia they would increase their league size they'd play just as many games and would shut the fuck up about it

We werent great performance wise but when you look at this match day over all and see how City and Arsenal played and consider this is premier league match day 6 for Slot, this is a great result on the road imo. If we beat Bologna and Palace and get in to the national break top of the league we should all be buzzing. The performances will improve as time passes but things are looking good under Slot so far. Interested to see where we are mid December now when the games begin to add up and the squad (hopefully not) gets lighter after a major cluster of games in October and November. Sick to the fucking teeth of international breaks this season already too.

Gav, your question at 25 minutes. Are you really comparing 11 vs 10 with a Tottenham & a City team? We went there and seized control in 1st half until the red card. I would have liked to keep both wingers but look at our opening 5 games on the back of summer tournaments. After these tough away games we can go again vs weaker teams. League decided vs other 18 teams & consistency.

No I'm saying the way they approached the game overall was a suprise.
@arsenalfancirclechannel36068 күн бұрын
@@talkinkop yeah I agree then after the sending off keep some threat going forward with Saka & Martinelli. The approach in these opening games has been to maximize return of points in opening 5 games-quite a tough run. Of course many fans would want to play further up the field in second half. Our back 5 have been physically ahead of the rest of the team coming out of preseason

I agree on the Ars....best defence in Europe and you can't still PLAY your game? I mean do a back 5 but PLAY the rest as normal with perhaps a different shape. The only real threat at this point Haaland, and he can be man-marked and harrassed to put him off. Arsenal played with fear... which is weird because their CB's and Raya are phenomenal. I think Legohead effed them and tired his own team out when he could have at least had TWO outfielders to relieve pressure... why?... besides giving the defenders a break... it would have meant Citeh needed to take men OUT of the sustained attack to mark the two attackers, so let's 3 fellas would need to not be in the red zone. It was gritty defending... like us vs Spurs... but that was because we were NINE men...and Spurs were just as relentless as City but we STILL managed a few out balls and Mo got fully robbed being blown for a shoulder charge as he was hunting down a winning goal. At this point Arsenal are well drilled... but I don't classify them as brave because they fear losing more so than covet winning...and you can't get to 100 points with that mindset because us and City have been there and bravery and tenacity carry you to that shore imho.

If Nunez doesnt kick on even before January and regularly play well, score goals and don’t miss big chances, sell him in Jan. not worth the risk. His stock is still relatively high for a European club at least. We could easily still get 65m at least imo due to lack of 9’s on the market. Last thing we want is he has an average season again and we ain’t even getting 50m in the summer. There’s gyokeres, openda and Duran there on the market to replace him. We’ve got danns and figueroa coming through as well. Personally I would sell Nunez and jota and get gyokeres and use those kids as backups.
@H.Ali_0810 күн бұрын
I am the same as Seany in that I am desperate for Nunez to succeed and a big fan but completely agree with the criticism. One thing i will say is he appears to be very unlucky. He could easily have had two yesterday (the one the defender blocks on the line). Nunez lets be real is a magnet for chances. His movement and just physical ability means a lot of big chances fall to him that would not fall to other players. With Nunez he is beyond tactical training. Slot needs to adapt his unorthodox psychological techniques to coach Nunez mentally to have more composure in front of goal, i.e. how he asked that CB at Feyenoord to be aggressive and sent to kickboxing lessons. Nunez will come good under Slot!
