I feel confident there is a global HUNGER for expert brass choir properly led by Ms. Balsom to re-familiarize all the world (while there still is one) with the simple Christmas carols and wouldn't it be a magnificent performance? Just imagine the effect of a beautifully arranged 'Silent Night' ! The noisy and trashy 'pop' racket blared out today beginning in October or even earlier, ruining our efforts to focus on the true significance of Christmas.We have been cautioned to omit exchanges of verbal Christmas greetings and urged to simply extend 'Holiday Greetings' instead. Why did we allow that? Is our Christmas Mass to become Holiday Hoo Haw'? The world, in my humble opinion, has suffered a severe lack of direction.and so many attempts are being made daily to re-write history, We have selectively deleted events with which we feel offended and attempted to polish unrealistic tripe to make the 'record' appear better than the events as they actually occurred. If there is any hope of peace to become a reality, I believe music can touch the most hardened of hearts and could be the very best gift to honor our 'little Lord Jesus, asleep in the hay...'
