It’s so impressive to me how aviators can jump into different airframes and avionics. I trained in a PA28-180 with the standard 6 pack. Then my flying club brought on a couple of C172s with glass panels. I love flying high wings because of the great views (not so much in the pattern). But the transition was really fun getting checked out in a different kind of aircraft and avionics. My flying club just brought on a C182 that I’m looking forward to getting checked out in the couple weeks. It’ll be a high performance rating (220hp fuel injection) that I’ll be very proud of. Greetings from F70. Thx for sharing your flying adventures 😃👍🏻

Just found this video, because of the Oshkosh 2024 videos you did, up to Lacrosse anyways. Looking forward to the Lacrosse to Oshkosh. I grew up about 1+ hours north of Lacrosse and spent some time in Rochester, and lived in the Twin Cities for 20 years. You're right, most people don't make videos like this. I'm glad you made to help yourself and other people, even me to some extent. The first x-country move was for college. The next 2 x-country moves were for my wife's jobs. And lots of local moves for various reasons, like you and nearly everyone. Thank You for your openness and vulnerability in this video. I hope everything is working well for you.

Would love to hear more about the plane. What is it? Is it your father’s plane? Are the people you are flying beside new friends or old .
@carleeszarek3 ай бұрын
It's a 1964 Beechcraft Baron (B55)! My parents have had this plane since I was 4 years old so I actually grew up in this plane! The people we are flying next to are a mix of new and old friends - were all headed to la crosse, wisconsin for the mass bonanza arrival into Oshkosh. We all have flown formation clinics together and have been through the same training to be able to safely fly next to each other!

My personal choice would be to not fly formation and to be able to watch weather, enjoy the view, monitor the engines, etc. Seems Dad could help with some of that, but still... And did you all have formation cards?

Nice video. Very enjoyable to watch. You are both great pilots. I couldn’t tell but I think you pushed in the mixtures to full rich at landing out of habit which caused the left engine to shut down and feather due to the high density altitude, yes? Liked and subscribed
@carleeszarek3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Glad to have you! Not full rich just a low idle after low power settings (flying w slower planes) and oil pressure caused the auto feather! Definitely killer high density altitude too!

Thank you for the insight 🤍 I am very grateful to see a woman so passionate about her job.. this is my ultimate goal, really ❤🔥 I am very excited about studying aerospace/mechanical engineering at Canada or US and currently comparing the universities. I would love to get a job in the space or aviation sector, but as an international student I am aware that large tech companies might prefer citizens. Could you (or anyone that has relevant information) give some explanation and details if that is really so and how is the field of engineering for international students? I do know that it's huge, competitive, and challenging, but still I don't feel like I am aware enough about the level of competition and what type of job I might end up doing. If anyone could explain this to me, talk about their experience, university, and what type of work they do.. I would be very grateful!! Thank you in advance ;)
@666yaoz2 ай бұрын
For US aerospace industry, you must have citizenship or permanent resident, so basically a no go for aerospace for international students.
