This repair only needs a simple screwdriver set - or at minimum one each of a flathead and Philips head screwdriver. I highly recommend picking up a basic tool set for common repairs. This set in a case was purchased for my college-bound kid. It is not too expensive and has a great selection of commonly needed tools. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KTSQL7G?th=1

I've had one of these for a year and a half. The only problem I have with it is the low food sensors are too far up on the food bucket, so I get constant reminders every day, at every feeding, for 5+ days before it's actually low.
@par64guy
@par64guy 27 күн бұрын
Yes, they are a bit high in the hopper. However, as someone who has designed products, I am betting the designers set that height based on a calculated volume of food delivered per day to ensure at least a few days of warning. I let mine run down, and based on Maji's portion and kibble sizes, we had over a week of warning time.

Might depend on the model. If you can see what is supposed to be displayed using a flashlight, then I would suspect the PCB containing the backlight driver.

Unfortunately, the slick lawyers who wrote the fine print nailed the loop holes shut. I threatened legal action, and they basically said "Go ahead. It's right there in black and white, and you signed it." Lesson learned is if you bought a warranty, keep the warranty info where you can access it, and if you detect a problem, proactively call them to let them know you are having the problem diagnosed.

@par64guy

First of all, thanks for watching! The fuel rail, also known as the fuel manifold, is the root cause part that failed, so it was replaced. I do know plenty about cars, having done a lot of the maintenance on my cars years ago. But, I also recognize that my limits of what I can safely work on these days has decreased, especially when so many specialty tools are needed to do even minor repairs on newer model years. For example, the 2015 V6 Toyota Sienna requires removal of the windshield wipers, cowl, and intake plenum to access the rear three spark plugs - a four hour job. I passed on doing that myself because I had way too many other things to do.

Where did you get the "puller" to remove the pedal from the axle? Is there a way of removing the pedal without a specialized tool?
@par64guy
@par64guy 9 ай бұрын
The bike's owner had the tool. I assume the bike came with it. If you can find a threaded rod with matching threads to the crank, you may be able to fashion a puller using the rod and some additional hardware like nuts and bolts. The goal is to apply focused pushing force on the center stem.
