two months late, but i think most guitars especially gibson styled or inspired guitars have enough space to fit all the components for active pickups INCLUDING the battery

The Chinese fakes really aren't the junk ppl think they are. They usually need a visit to the music store tech for adjustments, but you're getting something that's 85% as good as a real Gibson (or name yr brand they have any you can think of) for $300.

I agree. This guitar is killer now that the hardware is all swapped out. I basically paid 300 for the body I wanted. And now it's perfect

I‘d love to order one myself but I have concerns because of the customs here in germany. It would be super sad if they decide to just trash it. My money would be gone and the work somebody did. I couldn’t forgive myself the second thing I mentioned… Does someone have experience importing/ordering one of those replicas to germany?

I have one of those guitars too but it was bought from a different Chinese company mine was 100% dead on only i had to make my own EET FUK sticker and put new battery powered emgs into it decent buys them guitars for the money but once you upgrade the pickups you've one killer historical 80s guitar 🤘🏻🤘🏻

@@callmeJAF im a self taught player started from scratch with a cheap £100 Argos guitar n amp then always wanted an explorer as im too a huge hetfield fan an i just love the shape of the explorer an know alot of folks would critize ye for not having the original model but get were not all millionaires so all my guitars are Chinese replicas all i did was set them up to my specs got descent pickups and graphite nut use ernie ball 11s n play thru a blackstar tvp 60w amp and am happy with all my tones

Nobody can make the guitars sound like best and only metallica years...from kill to justcie the only metallica spcially thos guitar riffs and solos on justice are amazing. The drums are so great that till this day I keep wondering if is lars on drums...and if I'm the only person in this world that i do hear the bass...any way not even themself can do that awsome sound from the first 4 albums

Yeah it was from a different company. Further inspection showed dings all over the body. Definitely needs more work but it looks pretty good for the price

@@zero420hour in my opinion it sounds really good too. Did you upgrade the pickups or is it what you’re playing through? Also too, if I may ask.. do you know which company you purchased it from and if you know what the body is made out of?? Sorry for the questions, I’m really thinking about getting a replica of my own and just trying to get as much info as I can and I really dig how yours came out.

@@fredg91 the company that built that guitar has deleted their account since then. The pickups are still the Chinese ones and they are actually decent. Hard to hear the difference between the real deal and these copies
