Short barrel gun that is not 48 inche required by osha. Using a gun instead of using a lance to to clean every tube. The right way. I don't think I have seen more stupid unsafe waterblasting video ever in my life

Hi Jenin, They applied 8,000 psi but, after obtaining more experience and discussing this matter with others, I would recommend applying above 13,000 psi. The problem would be that this level of water jet pressures makes it extremely difficult to handle the nozzle manually (not an impossible task at about 10 KSi though).

@@q9260 8000 psi = 552 bar and it's not enough pressure; 900 bar and above would be better for NDI.

This exercise was done as part of a study on Quality Control of hydrojet cleaned tubes using an AcousticEye-made Acoustic Pulse Reflectometry (APR) instrument . I agree with those that did not like the safety conditions and I know the plant has been replacing this manual method with automatic cleaning systems.

kewlar is for dumbasses. Huh. That exchanger would never get clean by using a gun on it. :P Need rotating jets in every single hole to confirm proper quality of the cleaning.
