Nice pond.. but I don’t think it’s a pond for Koi Fish. Koi need ponds with smooth surfaces and contours. Over time, their scales or skin can become damaged.

Thank you. While accidents can happen, we've had no (zero) known fish loss attributable to rocks.

Those fish are way too big for that tiny pond. It would be nice if people would actually give consideration for the well being of the fish.
@flowlandscape3 күн бұрын
Overstocking can be a problem, no doubt! In this case, the original koi have multiplied rapidly and the growth of the babies has been astounding. The tough part is convincing the owners to part ways with their beloved fish.

Wow Stan you did an incredible job on this production. I’m amazed at the quality, knowledge, editing and the way you explain things so vividly. You keep this level of quality consistently I see you at 55k subscribers at the end of 2025.

Why didn’t you lay a full sheet of fabric over the liner? You just used fabric under some of the boulders.
@flowlandscape2 ай бұрын
We do that on a case by case basis based on the soil conditions. We always use the fabric as an underlayment, but the reason we don’t always lay a full sheet on top is that it is really difficult to keep taught on the bottom of the pond and has a tendency to bulge and pop up through the pebble (which is round). 😁

Great production on the video. The pond looks amazing but I think it would have been better as a bigger pong with a deck and seating area since it is far from the house.
@flowlandscape3 ай бұрын
We don’t disagree but this was a big enough step above the original simple watering hole concept the clients had. 😁

You should have kept some of those lily pads in the pond
@flowlandscape5 ай бұрын
We like lilies too, but our client didn’t want to add the original lilies back because the pond was also infested with Pennywort and understandably, didn’t want to risk it.
