Alot of elderly always like use their ages as an excuse for the seats inside the train. Why is it nasty if young people never give up the seat to elderly? There are many elderly who actually are able to stand inside the train, whereas alot of young people whom their jobs require them to stand for long hours. Many elderly who are taking train are those who just going out for stroll or window shopping, so don't tell me they cannot stand inside the train. Pls try to understand many young people need to stand for many hours during their work. So who need the seats more?

You're a nice bloke. I will speak for myself. As a Singaporean of Chinese ancestry, I am annoyed more by Chinese-born naturalised Singaporeans and permanent residents than anyone else. It is not so much the particular nationality but the way the Chinese rub me the wrong way. Filipinos are fellow Southeast Asians. Filipinos tend to be able to speak English passably if not well, as you do. The reason that I'm averse to the Chinese is this very complacent attitude that because we are 76 per cent Chinese, they don't need to learn our common language, which is English. Some of them even have this idea that just because we have Chinese ancestry we ought to be able speak Mandarin comfortably and that we ought to at least like or love our 'motherland'. That's rubbish. It is like insisting that a third generation American whose ancestors were from a European country ought to treasure and value their roots and therefore, blah blah blah. Come on. I'm a Peranakan Chinese. My family has been in Southeast Asia for many generations. We are also a native English speaking family for as many generations as from the time English was introduced in this region because of colonialism. I've been mocked at by Chinese servers for not being able to know certain Mandarin words. What? Ask any Peranakan-Chinese person about our struggle with Mandarin. My parents cannot speak Mandarin. I can, but only barely. I failed my Mandarin GCSE, and for the oral segment, had the honour of getting an UNGRADED mark. Come on. As long as migrants and new citizens are able to integrate well in Singapore, and accept the fact that in 2024 and onwards, we are more or less a Westernised but multicultural and multiracial city state. Don't bring your atheism here or your religious fundamentalism. Don't bring your language supremacy here. Don't bring your 'China is Great' bollocks here.

Pls call yourself Singaporean. We made a trace in our class in JC. We realize all, all of us have ancestors from another country. China, India, Sri Lanka, Borneo, Sulawesi. There’re probably not many natives left. Hey, but we work together. 🙂

To hold Boon Keng accountable for his acts, I am publishing this. Following my viewing of Boon Keng's CNA documentary and my encouraging post on his social media account, I, along with many others, have been a supporter of him. I was shocked to learn that he began asking for loans via his social media accounts. He disclosed that he was in debt from gambling and needed money. If he was desperate enough to borrow from his supporters, I'm positive I'm not the only one. I have chosen to come forward and alert everyone to his acts since I tried to get my money back from him but he refused to give it to me. Don't give this person any money; he is only spending it for gambling, and you never know when he might do with our funds. Having learned my lesson the hard way, I sincerely hope that those who borrowed money to him or was asked by him will also come out and attest to what I've said. His behaviors have really let me down.
