Why would you want to keep a rodent alive? People have to understand that these mice have very harmful viruses and diseases that can heart your animals and a child.

So glad I saw this. I just bought three of these traps and will now punch some air holes in them. Thanks

Trap no longer effective. Mice have figured it out and are trying to get the bait by chewing a hole through the back side. No more second chances. Resorted to kill traps.

These traps work most of the time, but after many false trips resorted to kill traps!

Great fix Kimber - same happened on my 2001 Volvo S60. Your fix saved me Euro 230 at the local garage. Many thanks for sharing.

Good job. Not something I would have attempted though. I hate all the electronic parts, sensors and computers on modern cars.

I had same problem with my S80, 2001. I guess water got into the mechanism and it didn't latch properly. When it became a little warm everything started to work well.

+drdmac Thanks for the comment. It's because I do my own repairs that I can afford to buy the tools and I really do enjoy and get a sense of accomplishment when I do fix problems.
