So does this mean that if I legally import rough (uncut) diamonds from Africa into Europe WITHOUT this Kimberley certificate, customs at the European border will confiscate those stones from me? And is it any diference if I import a lot of previousely cutted in Africa diamonds? Should I have a Kimberly certificate on cutted diamonds in this case? Thanks for any info.

Thanks Jim for your unique insight - more countries are looking for a currency alternative to the USD for trade & commerce while they are happy to let the USD remain the Global Reserve Currency! These countries don't want to do the heavy lifting that comes with being the Global Reserve Currency.

Jim is great at criticizing and suggesting doubt. What would he have done differently? Something had to be done to limit the Russian ability to murder its neighbors. Jim has no solutions for this. It’s very cynical to just tear down a sincere effort to save lives then offer nothing as an alternative. Jim has no answers or solutions. I have not heard any ideas from the GOP. The GOP don’t care about anything but attaining power and once they have the power they only help the wealthy become more wealthy. They don’t want to help anyone except their donors who they work for. Ppl need to understand that every GOP CONGRESSMAN understands that his only job is to switch the taxes off the wealthy and corporations and into the middle and working classes. Reagan started all this crap with his Neoliberal scam that has robbed American workers of more then $100 trillion since 1980. How is that trickle down economics working for you?

Bitcoin doesnt fix Jim, You or anyone else because no country will use bitcoin as a national currency. Bitcoin is a crypto and no one knows who the owner or the real investor of it is. Who is Nakamoto? Where is he abd how does he look like? Central banks need to have total control over finances so tell us why and how will all the countries give up their current currencies and make bitcoin their national medium of exchange? How on earth would EU, Brics or anyone else use some poxy cryptocurrency instead of their own electronic banknotes with the expiry date that can control the society?

Jim drank the Trump soup not too long ago and turned into Giuliani. He lost his way. He's been calling for SDRs for 10 years. Once he turned political, his analysis went south. I followed him for 10 years and saw this massive change within the last year. Nobody can convince me that you can abandon the dollar, sell your national resource to China or whoever, and accept Chinese Yuan, Ruble, Rupee, whatever. Nobody wants that garbage. The first thing you do in that situation is sell that junk for dollars. It will change in the future but nobody will ever convince me any other currency is stronger than the dollar right now. If you think so, then sell your dollars for that currency right now and see how that works out for you.

He didn’t mention what happens when the rest of the world stops buying US treasuries and $8 Trillion dollars that has to end up on somebody’s balance sheet ends up on ours.we buy our debt. I bought into the dire predictions that the dollar's fall as the world's reserve currency would occur soon and quickly. This demise of the dollar's preeminence can be viewed through two optics: that of a campaign to sell one's books and newsletter, and that of a real world scenario. It is starting to become apparent to me that I have been overly concerned.

Follow Brent Johnson. I agree with him and Jeff Snider. There is no alternative to the dollar. If the world economy collapses, there will be a massive rush to the dollar. Look at Europe, there is a mad dash for the dollar. Can't escape it. I don't care what Brics says, you sell your national treasure to China for Yuan, the absolute first thing you will do is convert that to dollars. Nobody, and I mean nobody, in the world wants to hold Chinese Yuan, Rupee, Rubble, etc. They all need dollars. For now. It will change someday, but not for a long long time.
