This song is probably long in the past for Bonnie Billy himself, but it keeps on bringing great vibes for me. The video just adds to that, the theme of a trucker with his dog is simply fantastic, and complements the lyrics. Great stuff, this song ist just simply perfect.

This is great but the live version is ridiculous - the guitar solo is absolutely sick.

I remember a Guardian journalist comparing Will's talent to John Lennon. Some may find that amusing. I'm not laughing.

It's almost not fair how emotional I feel when listening to this band. I come away exhausted and wanting more. I'm not sure if I'm doing it justice. I do very much love Dirty Three. I feel very lucky that I'm alive to witness this.

Will Oldham worked with Tortoise (postrock), Sage Francis (hiphop), Scout Niblett, Angel Olsen, Jim o' Rourke and many many more. He made a Nashville-style album (Sings Greatest Palace Music), his early work is low-fi, he made brilliant covers of songs of Elton John, Danzig, Phil Ochs, Merle Haggard, Bob Marley, Nilsson, Leonard Cohen and many others. Sings in French, Spanish and English. Is an actor as well. And yet you think it's time for some more variation?

A band that sounds like Dirty Three (because they clearly derive influence from them) is the Melbourne group Because Of Ghosts. I've never heard a drummer more like Jim White and a Guitarist more like Mick Turner. They do not have a Warren Ellis. Despite the similarities they maintain a distinctive sound of their own, and I feel people who enjoy the D3 would gain a great deal of pleasure from their work.
