Right, the likelihood is that you've accidentally deleted a file related to the game, and I'm afraid I only have one solution: uninstalling and reinstalling. But before you do so, copy your save files, and your mod files, and but them together in a separate folder. Once the game's reinstalled, copy them back into your game files. Please may I remind you that you do this at your own risk.

You may need to try uninstalling and reinstalling Reshade, as you may have made a mistake. Also, try refreshing your games shader cache. If not, make sure you've backed up your saves and mods as it may be a case of uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game, but that's a worse case scenario.

@@thegamingguitarguy8211 I tried to the next version you suggested now it asks what rendering API does giants start up use which should I choose? Direct 3d 9 / direct 3d 10/11/12 or open gl or vulkan

Try reinstalling Reshade again, as you may have missed a step. If that doesn't work, refresh your game's shader cache

It shouldn't be the issue. Try resetting your games shader cache. If that doesn't work, it might be an idea to try version 4.8.2

@@thegamingguitarguy8211 so it took me a minute to get time to mess with it, but the shader cache didn't work and neither did version 4.8.2... Is it because I previously followed a tutorial and accidentally broke Reshade? I deleted all the files I could find and reinstalled it using this tutorial but it hasn't worked since.

@@DaSuperNovaYT now you mention that, it probably is. If you look right at the end of the video, you'll see how to uninstall it, and which files should be left for the standard game. Also, it might be an idea to, when reinstalling afterwards, to delete the launcher thing first, then redownload

It's unlikely to, or it'll at least not give you the full reshade shaders. Either use 3.8.0 or 4.2.0 as those are the ones I know that do work.

It's put into your game's graphics, so it's part of the standard game, but you can't share it with other players. They will have to install it themselves

Antivirus protections usually interfere with the application, saying it's a virus. It's completely fine, unless something has happened to it since. Just turn your antivirus off when installing it and it should be fine

Reshade shaders

It's the standard one from the Haur (whatever it is) pack

If you're not a general administrator for your PC, then the admin will have to put in their password for you to have permission to run it as administrator

Have you installed a different version as seen in the video? As that may be the case

I'm afraid the shaders don't work properly if you don't run your game as administrator

@@thegamingguitarguy8211 I solved it, just had to go to x64 and run as admin from there. After installing everything i got like an error dash, with multiple errors and as I get on a savegame I get no shader. Can I contact you on discord?
